Chapter 21- black eye

A/N: Hey guys... I am (again) so so sorry for not updating for a while, some things came up and i forgot.

Also, I know everything that has happened with Technoblade affected all of us at least a little bit. He was an amazing guy and an inspiration to lots of people and he will always be remembered that way. My heart goes out to him and his family. This is a hard time for me and probably some of you guys too, but we will get through it, as tough as it may seem. Just know he's no longer suffering and he'd want us to stay strong. And as we all know, Technoblade never dies.

-Ranboo POV-

The ball was thrown into the field and the game started. I caught it and passed it to Tubbo who landed the ball perfecly on the other side of the net. We cheered and I gave him a high-five.

"Good job Tubbo!" I congratulated him. "Thanks, though I couldn't have done it without this one tall handsome guy." he winked at me.

My face warmed up and I missed some balls after that. When the first game ended it was 6-8 for Jeremy. Guess I got a little too distracted there.

We had a small break now because the other 2 teams were against each other. I hadn't noticed I was staring at the floor. "Don't worry big guy," Tubbo said while playfully slapping my arm, "it's just a stupid school game."

I gave him a small smile, "I'm not worried, it's just- I dont know... never mind." I mumbled. Tubbo gave me a confused and slightly concearned look and then focused back on the game.

Next game was against Tommy's team. I don't know why but for some reason he had this huge grin on his face and when he locked eyes with me, that grin only grew.

The signal sounded and Tommy grasped the ball. He didn't pass it to his teammates like the rules say he should, but just yanked it to the other side with as much force as he could. I saw the ball coming closer and closer to our side, I heard Tubbo yell my name and then, everything went black.

Tubbo POV

The signal went and Tommy got the ball. I am kind of concearned what his deal is, he has been grinning from the moment he got on the field. I only realised his plan as he threw the ball forcefully to our side. Right in Ranboo's direction. "Ranboo!" I tried yelling his name but I was too late. The ball hit his face and he fell to the floor.

"Match is over!" our teacher yelled while going upto the tall boy on the floor, "Everyone go take a shower, except for you, Tommy. You wait here so we can have a little chat after I'm done helping this poor boy you hit."

Everyone started leaving the field but I stood frozen. Ranboo wasn't moving and blood started dripping down his nose. And the guy who did this to him, my so-called 'best friend' -now I think you can add an ex- to that- was still grinning on the other side of the net. How much I just wanted to puch that grin of his face.

I shook my head and rushed over to Ranboo. I helped the teacher bring him to a hospital nearby and they took further care of him.

"Will he be okay?" "Yes, we have to run some more tests but for now it seems his nose could be broken and he maybe has a small concussion but he'll be fine in the end. He will just need a lot of rest." the nurse answered. I thanked her and had to go back to the group, I would come back to the hospital after the tests were done.

When I got to the group I saw Tommy and Dream laughing, Tommy got detention for when we had to go back to school. I think know what they were laughing at and it got my blood boiling.

"Tommy!" I yelled at him angrily. Tommy looked at my and his smile soon dissapeared from his face. "Tubbo..."

"Why did you do that?! He did nothing wrong and I know you, that wasn't an accident." I was furious, I knew things between Tommy and I are now different then they used to be, but I thought he'd just leave me and Ranboo alone, apparently not. Tommy sighed and rolled his eyes. He didn't even care.

I couldn't contain myself anymore, I launched myself at him and gave him a well-deserved punch in his face. He fell on the ground and I was quickly pushed away from him by Dream and another one of his 'buddies'.

I gave him one last filthy look and turned away walking towards my room where i stayed for the rest of the afternoon.

At 6 pm I heard a knock on my door, it was probably one of the teachers to tell me I need to go eat. "Come in," I groaned.

The door opened and there stood a 6'6 guy with blonde hair, holding an ice pack onto his nose. "Hey Tubs."

I jumped up and flung my arms around his waist. "Boo!" I backed off a bit, "Are you alright? Are you still hurt? Do you ne-" "Tubbo," he cut me off and laughed calmly, "I'm fine, don't worry. I have a small headache and my nose still hurts a bit but it'll be okay. I was a bit surprised though when I saw Tommy enter the nurse room with a black eye."

My face reddened, "Uhhmm, well..." He started laughing and I joined in soon as well. I looked into his eyes and raised my hand to his cheek rubbing my thumb over a bruise. "He deserved it."
