chapter 25- apology

Tubbo pov:

I wake up due to the alarm and look at the blonde boy across the room who's sleepily staring at me. "Morning Tubs," He said in his low morning voice, my heart fluttered, "'Morning Boo, did you sleep well?" "Mhm, you?"

I turned to lay on my back "Yea I slept alright, though the mattress wasn't really that comfortable" Ranboo laughed at that and agreed.

When we were up and ready for the day, we walked together to the cafeteria. Halfway through, I nudged at Ranboo's hand and we held hands the rest of the way until we arrived at the cafeteria. Just as we were about to walk towards the table Aimsey and Bill were seated at, I felt another hand wrap itself around my upper arm. The hand belonged to none other than Tommy himself.

"Toby, can we talk for a second please?" I rolled with my eyes and apologized to Ranboo before following Tommy outside of the cafeteria.

I sighed, "Alright, what is it you wanted to talk to me about?"

Tommy looked a bit nervous, it's very rare for him to be any kind of uncomfortable so that was new.

He sucked in a deep breath and finally looked me in the eyes. "I wanted to apologise," I was kind of shocked at that statement, just like the  nervousness, mentioned previously, an honest Tommy apology™ is very rare too.

"I have been kind of an ass to both you and Ranboo, and now I feel kind of guilty. To be honest with you tubs, Ranboo never really did anything to me to excuse my behavior, I just kinda picked him to bully because I was jealous of his height..." Tommy explained, it does seem like a very Tommy-like thing to do, though he'd taken it way to far with all the things he did and has said.

"Don't tell him though!" He continued, "So I'm not saying I'm going to be best friends with that masked giant from now on, I still don't like him for being so close to you, but thats your choice, not mine." He closed his eyes and took another deep breath, "So what I'm saying is, I apologise for the way I've ben treating you both and are you willing to forgive me?"

He still had his eyes closed and I was even more shocked now he's even asked me for forgiveness. I was at a loss for words, so I decided I'd just go in to give him a hug of which he jumped a bit.

"I'm not sure I can yet forgive you for everything," i said, voice muffled by Tommy's shirt, "but it's a start. And about Ranboo, I think you can do this speach all over  for him too. He deserved it even more after all what you've done."

Tommy sighed deeply and nodded hesitantly.

Ranboo pov:

"Ran, they were made for each other! Like just look at them, they're perfect together."

Aimsey has been ranting to me about this ship from adventure time, i think it was Marceline and Bubblegum or something, from the moment Tubbo had to leave with Tommy. Now they're showing me "cute bubbline compilation" videos to pass the time.

After about 15 minutes of non-stop bubbline rant and videos, Tubbo finally showed up to our table. Surprisingly, Tommy was walking right behind him. Only this time he no longer had his iconic smug look on his face, this time he actually looked ashamed or embarrassed.

I felt the tension around the table rise the closer Tommy came towards us. Tubbo sat down next to me and I looked at him questionably, he just gave me a small smile.

From behind me I heard Tommy clear his throat, "Uhhhmm... hey there... mister Boob..." Tommy said awkwardly while looking away from me. "I just wanted to talk to you real quick. I know the way I've treated you in the past hasn't always been that... well, poggers, of me, and I just wanted to say," he took a small break to look into my eyes. "I guess I'm sorry?"

He just stared at me for the next few seconds until Tubbo chimed in to break the uncomfortable silence. "Welp, thanks Tommy for sharing that with us. Enjoy your meal now!" And he gestured to Tommy he should leave now. Tommy got it and left after that.

Tubbo turned back towards me once Tommy became one with the student body. He grabbed my hand underneath the table, "I know you have no reason to forgive him, but I thought you might've wanted to hear that from him too." I shot him a quick smile while squeezing his hand. "Thanks Tubs."
