-Ranboo POV-

I was practicing my throws and shots with one of my teammates Jeremy, he's not really a friend of mine, but at least he doesn't scold me out every two seconds for absolutely no reason or avoid the fact that I exist. We had to do this one exercise 'till the match starts. People were flooding in and were non-stop talking. I let my eyes wonder around the sport hall for a second and noticed a boy with brown hair and beautiful eyes staring right at me. We locked eyes and I forgot all about Jeremy. I felt a light blush creeping up on my face, what was Tubbo doing here? My staring was interrupted by a ball. Right into my face. I stumbled back for a second and saw Jeremy's annoyed look. I looked back at Tubbo and saw him giggling. I smiled back but he couldn't see it because of my mask. Jeremy and I practiced some more and then the match started. The fact Tubbo was there really got me going, I scored three times in the first half alone, we were leading with 5-2 when break started. I looked over to the bleachers, smiling, but didn't spot the brown haired boy he was looking for. I went to the bench to drink but my water bottle was almost empty, so I excused myself with our coach and went to the bathroom.

I opened the bathroom door and was met with a boy hanging over a sink watching himself in the mirror. He jumped because of my appearance and turned around, his face was covered in water. Because of that in combination with his shocked expression, I couldn't help but shake with laughter. "What?" He asked confused. I tried to calm myself, "it's- it's just- the combination of your expression and the water- I really wasn't expecting to see that when I went in to fill up my bottle." I started to laugh again, he just looked at me like he was so done with everything. He dried off his face with his sleeve and started to smile too.

We calmed down and I leaned against the wall, "So," I started, "what were you doing here?" His face turned red immediately, is everything okay with him? "I- I didn't feel so well because of the amount of people there, I felt suffocated." I understood him, I also sometimes have to get away for a moment to just take a breath. Tubbo still looked crimson red staring at me. "Are you sure it's better now?' I asked, "You look kind of red. If you don't like sitting amongst that amount of people you can surely sit on the teambench, there are some other people sitting there too, if you want at least." Tubbo stared at the ground and nodded slowly, "yeah sure sounds good, thanks a lot" he gave me a smile so beautiful my mind wasn't working for a second. I blinked a few times and cleared my throat. "Erhm, I think I should head back before the match starts again, are you coming?" I went out the door and held the door open for Tubbo to follow me back. "Oh- uhh, I'll come in a minute, you can go already" he said smiling, but the smile looked a bit uncomfortable so I decided to just leave him alone if that is what he wants. The door closed behind me and I returned to the field.

-Tubbo POV-

Oh fuck.

As sweet as I found Ranboo's offer to sit on their bench, I was scared of Tommy's reaction. I would really need to explain something to him. I looked at myself in the mirror one last time before exiting the bathrooms and going back to the sporthall. I walked in and saw Tommy and Dream still talking amongst the other supporters. I also saw Ranboo sitting on the bench for the team. I walked over to Ranboo and sat next to him. "You know, you're actually better at this than I expected." I said looking at Ranboo. He looked back at me and we made eye contact, "Uh thanks? I think?" He chuckled, "I didn't even know you liked volleyball, why were you actually here?" Oh. Oh shit. I felt my face heat up from the embarrassment. "Well... I... uhh... I heard someone say u played volleyball so I decided to come and watch?" The statement was phrased more like a question but there was no time left to talk about it more because the signal went off and the match continued.

At the bench I was even closer to the players, and to Ranboo. The entire play I was enchanted with his looks, the occasional glances he'd give me, ooh boy. I noticed that my stomach would feel all weird whenever he would give me a look. It felt amazing. When the match was over, our team had won. Especially Ranboo had scored a lot of pointsand a lot of people were cheering. I looked over to the bleachers to see multiple families celebrating the win, some teenagers acting like they had won a million dollars and Tommy and Dream... They weren't celebrating like the rest, they looked pissed and almost angry. At me.
