After I reach my room, I enter, and find Yaguri casually laying on my bed. "Come to tuck me in bed for the night?" I ask sarcastically. He chuckles and climbs off my bed. "Why not? I haven't done that since you were 6 years old. Kinda miss it." He says shrugging. "What are you doing here Yaguri?" I ask. He chuckles and walks over to me. He grabs my injured arm and investigates it. "Those Level E's got you good, didn't they?" He asks. I scoff. "I've had worse." I say pulling my arm away. "Yup, I know. Come with me." He says and pulls me into the bathroom across the hall. After grabbing the first aid kit from the overhead cupboard, he tells me to sit on the closed toilet seat, before getting to work on sterilizing the wound. I bit my bottom lip to keep from screaming at the pain. Soon after he's wrapping my wound with gauze before putting an ace-bandage over it. For a tough guy, he cares an awful lot about my well being. He never did tell me how he found me, all I know is I was just a baby...I want to ask him what happened, and what my parents were like. He said he was a good friend of my mother's...were they Hunters too? His voice brings me out of my thoughts. "Hm? What did you say?" I ask. He chuckles and shakes his head. "Off in la-la land again? Dreaming about that Vamp?" He teases. I narrow my eyes and scoff. "As if." I say earning another chuckle. "You always were the nicest person to be around. Always knowing the right things to say." Yaguri says. I stick my tongue out at him. "I think that Kain guy has taken a liking to you." He ponders. I roll my eyes. "Who cares." I say. "Oh, I don't know...you." he says with a smirk. "Not even the slightest." I say as an image appears of Kain smiling. I shake my head. "Not my type. One to many fangs." I say. "So...if he didn't have fangs, you'd like him. That's what I'm getting from that." He says. I scoff and roll my eyes. "Whatever." I say. "That wasn't a no." He says. "Why were the Level E's so close to the academy anyhow?" I ask changing the subject. "Hmm...changing the subject and still didn't hear a no." He says looking amused. "Drop it will ya? Jeeze! You're worse than a female." I say. He chuckles. "I'm just gonna take your constant dodging the question as a yes." He says shrugging. I clench my jaw tightly and look at the open first aid kit. A roll of medical tape lay on top. I swipe it up, open it, and run the openned part over Yaguri's mouth, before tearing off the access tape. I jump up from the toilet seat, pat his cheek a little on the hard side, before walking to my room. "Good night Yaguri." I say and shut the door. Thanks to Yaguri, my sleep was filled with nothing but Kain.
Next morning was pretty boring, I got dressed, being sure to baby my arm which was now sore from the wound throbbing, and then I was off to class. Class was uneventful, so it seemed to drag on forever, I ended up falling asleep in class, which I didn't realize until the bell rang. I gathered my things and head for the door. "Hold it miss Hatashi." The teacher calls me by my last name. I close my eyes and sigh. "What'd I do teach?" I ask. "Sleeping in my class isn't part of my curriculum." The teacher says. I roll my eyes. "Sorry, no offense teach, but I already know these lessons, one of the perks to being homeschooled by an overachieving adoptive father." I say looking towards the teacher. Their eyebrows furrow in annoyance. "Be that as it may, you're staying after class to make up for your little nap time." The teacher says and I notice his eyes were glowing the Purplish-Red like the Level E's. I narrow my eyes, slam the door, grab my weapon, and charge. That's when I hear a loud bang next to my ear, which makes me jump from my desk. "Huh? What?" I ask looking around quickly. "Miss Hatashi. Did you have a nice nap?" The teacher asks. It was a dream. Great, now I'm thinking my teachers are Level E's. "Well since you asked, yes I did." I say. A couple students laugh at this. "You just earned yourself a detention miss Hatashi. Kiryu, Cross, you two as well." The teacher says. I look to the other two as they groan. I put my head onto my desk. Great.
After the detention, we raced to the gates of the Moon Dorm. All I heard as we got close were 'kya, kya, I love you idol! Wild, come out! Shiki! Kaname, come play with me!' The last one was pretty awkward to hear. "Alright back off before I get mad!" I yell. A bunch of girls hear this, shriek, and run off quickly, while a few stayed behind. Kiryu took care of them by doing his trademark death glare. Yuki blew the useless whistle, and I had an urge to shove it up her backside, but I don't act on it. The gates open to reveal the Night Class. My eyes immediately set on Kain, who'd done the same to me. My heartbeat picked up and I silently curse Yaguri for putting those ideas in my head. I turn away deliberately, hiding my face from his view. I hear a small chuckle before they make their way to their classes. As they're walking by, someone deliberately hits into me with their shoulder, catching me off guard, and making me lose my balance. Someone wraps their arms around me, and catches me before I could hit the ground. Their hold on me was pretty warm. I silently curse whomever hit into me. "You alright?" The voice of Kain. I silently nod, not looking towards him, and pulling out of his grip. "You're going to be late for class Kain." Kiryu says walking up to us. "Whatever." Kain says with a sigh. Without another word, he walks away. I find myself unknowingly watching his retreating form.
