Chapter 4

That Vampire... I clench my hands into fists. Kain hadn't said anything after that, he was too shocked. So I had taken the opportunity to escape. I didn't want to go back to my dorm yet so, I kind of just wandered around. As I'm walking, someone grabs me, and pulls me towards them. My mouth was covered so, I couldn't scream or anything. So, I did S.I.N.G. S- Solar plexus (elbow to spot right under rib-cage) I- Instep (stomp on person's foot) N- Nose (back of fist to attacker's nose) and finally G- Groin (same as nose only in different direction). My assailant falls to their knees with a grunt. "What the hell Yona?!" The strangled cry from Zero catches my attention, just as I'm about to run. My eyes widen and I turn to him quickly. He was trying not to scream in pain, his eyes were wide, his mouth was shut tightly. "Zero! You should know better than to sneak up on me, idiot!" I scold. "Really?! Not even an apology?!" he asks annoyed. "I didn't realize me defending myself needed an apology." I say crossing my arms over my chest. Once the pain subsided, Zero gets up, and glares at me. "Don't look at me like that, you deserved it. Why did you even attack me?!" I ask annoyed. "I didn't attack you! I saved you!" he defends himself. "Saved me from wh--" I'm cut off when someone slams into me from behind, locking me in their grasp. One hand around my arms and waist, while the other hand was trying to tilt my head to the side so my neck was revealed. Level E. I struggle against their hold until I'm able to flip them over my shoulder so they're sprawled onto their back against the ground. Without even realizing I had it in my hand, I stab one of my weapons into the Level E's chest. It immediately turns to dust with a screech. I see Zero shooting at something behind me, and immediately whip around. As I'm turning I bring out my other weapon, attach it to the other, and get in a fighting stance. I counted ten pairs of glowing Red eyes. Great. They start charging towards Zero and I with angered growls. I run towards them, jam one blade into the ground, and fling myself over the crowd of Level E's. After landing, five turn towards me, and switch their direction, so that they ran towards me. I smirk and meet them head on. Soon their nothing but piles of ash on the ground. Zero takes care of the other five and looks towards me afterwards. Well, my weapon mostly. I make my way around the piles of ash and stop next to him. "Why did they come into the academy?" I ask. "They didn't, you left the academy. The gate is back there, idiot!" he snaps at me. "What did you call me?!" I ask narrowing my eyes. "An Idiot! Why the hell would you leave the academy's grounds at this time of night?!" he scolds. "How am I supose to know?! I didn't even know I left!" I defend myself. "How could you not know?!" he asks. "I don't know! You tell me Mr. Know-it-all!" I say. He looked taken aback. "You really didn't know?" he asks calmly. "That's right, I didn't. Last time I checked, I was near the center of the grounds." I say unhooking my weapons, and placing them in my jacket pockets. His brows furrow but he says nothing. "Come on, we should get back inside the academy grounds." he says, grabs my wrist, and pulls me towards the gates. Once we entered the gates, Yaguri was running up to us, with Yuki, and a few of the Night Class. "What happened?!" Yaguri demands as he checked me for injuries. I swat him away as he reached for the claw mark on my arm, which I hadn't realized I had. "I'm fine Yaguri, and it's taken care of." I say. He nods reluctantly. "Told you they didn't need help Vamp." Yaguri says glancing over his shoulder. I raise an eyebrow and look at the Vamps. The three being Kain; who's eyes were glowing Red, Blondie, and the Pureblood from earlier. The Vamps nod and walk away, leaving Yuki, Zero, Yaguri, and I. It was Kain, I know it was. I shake out of my thoughts. "Well, now that everything is taken care of, I'm going to head back to the dorm. Comin' Yuki?" I ask as I start walking. "Try not to wander off anymore tonight." Zero calls to me annoyed. "No promises." I say and continue walking. Yuki catches up to me. "Hey, Yona, umm..." she starts to speak as we walked. "Yea, I know he did." I say already know what she was going to say. "Huh? How did you..." she trails off. "Because he's a stalker." I say. She giggles. "He is not, he just smelt your blood. Which by the way, does it hurt?" she asks concerned. "I'll be fine." I say curtly. "Oh, alright." she says. We say nothing the rest of the way to our dormitory.
