Chapter 6

"Yona, I'm going to take the east side, Yuki is taking the north, you cover the west and south end got it?" Kiryu says to me, after the Night Class were inside their classes. "Got it. Try not to disappear Kiryu, we can't keep covering your side every night." I say looking towards him. He scoffs and walks away. For the past three nights, he's gone AWOL, and I've had to cover his side along with managing my own. Its exhausting. "Yuki, try not to stalk the Night Class while they're in their classes, it distracts them way too much. Also it's creepy to stand in the shadow of the building and gawk at Kuran." I say once Kiryu was gone. "Huh?! I-I don't gawk at him!" She defends herself. Her face was Bright Red. "Riight. I'll pretend I believe you." I say before walking off. I start patrol in the west first. Not long after, I hear giggling. I narrow my eyes and stealthily creep behind the three Day Class students. One girl giggles again. "Do you see him? Isn't he dreamy?" She asks the girl next to him. "Mhmm, I guess you're right, he is dreamy!" Another girl says. I roll my eyes and put my head in between theirs. "What're we looking at?" I ask casually. She giggles again, not realizing it was me. "Takuma, his eyes a--" she cuts off with wide eyes, and slowly turns her head towards me. I smirk. "Boo." I say and all three girls scream, stand in a line, and bow. "Sorry! Sorry, we know we shouldn't be out here, please don't kill us!" One girl screams. "Kill you huh? That depends on how fast you all get back to your dorms. I'll count to five and you better be in your dorms before I reach the last number...starting now. One." Is all I say before the girls are practically knocking each other over trying to get away. I laugh to myself, shake my head, and look up to the Night Class' classroom. My eyes widen when I see Kain looking out the window at me. Seeing me noticing him, he smirks, and waves with that amused look in his eyes. Recovering from my shock, I salute lazily, and walk off.

Akatsuki Kain's P.O.V.
"That Hitashi girl really gets on my nerves, she's chasing away all my fans! Its not fair!" Hanabusa says stomping his foot like a child. I chuckle. "I don't know, it's nice to not have them screaming at us all the time." Shiki says. "I agree." Rima says. "She had no right to speak to us like she did." Ruka says. "Yes, but she was just acting out of how protective she is of Professor Yaguri." Takuma says. "She's quite the spit fire, isn't she?" Kaname asks. She definitely is. "Akatsuki, what do you think?" Takuma asks. I watch her walk around, not answering him. "Akatsuki...you seem very intrigued with that girl. Do you like her or something?" Ruka asks walking up to me. I shrug. "Does it matter?" I ask her. Her eyes widen. "Hmph." She says and looks away. I smirk and look out the window again. Just what is it about you...
Yona's P.O.V.
How long is he going to watch me? I can't concentrate knowing he's watching me. I try to focus more on searching for other rule breakers, but it was Down right impossible. Ugh! Just stop already. I turn around and look back at him with my arms crossed over my chest. "Take a picture it'll last longer." I say knowing he could hear me. His shoulders start to bounce lightly, so I knew he was chuckling. He raises his hands on either side of him, pretty much saying he gets it, before turning away from the window. "Creeper." I say but can't stop the small smile that appears. Again his shoulders bounce. I simply shake my head before I turn and walk away. Next day, I walk into class, and the three girls from last night squeak quietly in fear. "Ladies." I say letting them know I recognize them. Their eyes widen and they clear their throats awkwardly. I simply laugh quietly before taking my seat. Half way through class, Yaguri opens the door enough to peer in. "And that is-- oh Professor Yaguri, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Our female teach asks. He gives her a charming smile. "I need to speak with Yona Hitashi and Zero Kiryu please, its urgent." He says flicking his gaze over to me first, then to Zero, who was asleep. I roll my eyes, stand, walk over to him, grab his book, raise it above my head, and let it go. It slams onto his desk and he jumps up quickly. I narrow my eyes, motion with my head to Yaguri, and walk down the isle. I hear shuffling behind me, without looking, I knew he got my hint, and was following. We walk out of the classroom with Yaguri. "What is it?" I ask after we're a little ways away from the classroom. He simply hands us each a plain White envelope. We look to one another and back to Yaguri. "They want both of us?" Zero asks surprised. "I've never had a partner before, that can't be it." I say and open the envelope. In thin, neat print, it clearly stated both of our names. I raise a brow and continue to read. The Mark was a group of Level E's and they were marked as extremely dangerous. I glance up at Yaguri. "How many are we talking about here?" I ask. He shrugs. "Enough that they want their best Hunters on the job." Yaguri answers. Zero and I exchange glances. "You two better come back safely." Yaguri orders. "Don't worry Yaguri, I'll keep Zero safe." I say with a wink. "You mean I'll keep you safe." Zero says. I place my hand on Zero's shoulder. "Whatever you say Kiryu, whatever you say." I say. Yaguri chuckles and smacks us both upside the head. "Play nice you two." He says, places his hands on our shoulders, and looks at us. "I mean it you two. You two better come back alive." He says seriously. "You really shouldn't worry so much, you'll get wrinkles. We'll be fine Yaguri, don't worry about us, just focus on being a good little teacher to the bloodsuckers, mkay?" I say patting his cheek. He chuckles. "You're a pain in my a--" I cut him off. "Ah, Ah, Ah! Swearing isn't permitted on school grounds. Headmaster's rule." I say, laugh, kiss him on the cheek, and look to Zero. "Lets go." I say. He nods and we walk down the corridor.
