Chapter 11

Zero walks in without a knock and freezes at the sight. "Ren? What are you doing here? Yona, what the hell is going on?" Zero asks confused. "The rookie attacked me, I want to know why." I say. "He what?" Zero asks. I sigh. "Ren tried to attack me with his blade. I want to know why. But you see he's being stubborn and keeping quiet. But he doesn't realize, he's not leaving until he fesses up." I say and shoot a glare at Ren when he tries to get up. He sighs in annoyance and sits back down. "I don't speak to Vampires Leech!" he snaps at me. I freeze and widen my eyes before looking at him like he has two heads. "Now I know you're not talking about me, right?" I ask. "Who else would I be talking to?!" he snaps. "You...think...I'm...a Vampire..?" I sound out, but finally, burst out laughing. "What's so funny?!" he snaps. "Baka, I'm not a Vamp!" I say and laugh again. "Huh?! Yes you are! It says right he-" I cut him off by snatching the letter he starts to take out of his pocket. Zero gets closer so he can read it too. "This...why does it say that?! Who gave this to you Ren?" I ask. He just glares at me. "My god, Zero." I say and look towards Zero. "What?" he asks. "Shoot me." I say. "Ok, wait what?!" he asks. I groan. "Your gun, it's only effective on Vampires correct?" I ask. "Yea bu--" I cut him off. "So shoot me." I say. "Uh...ok." he says, pulls out his gun, and points it at me. I nod in acceptance. He pulls the trigger. Purple light shines from his gun, surrounds me, and disappears right after. I was unharmed. Ren stares at me in shock. I look to him with a bored expression. "See? Not a Vampire. Now tell me where you got this letter and from who." I say. "The Association, where else would I have got it from?" Ren asks. My eyebrows furrow. "Why would the association give you a letter saying I was a Vampire?" I ask confused. "Maybe they received false information. That's happened before." Kaien says standing and walking up next to me. "But I was just there not that long ago Kaien, there's no way they would've believed something like that.." I say. "Well they did, and they sent me to terminate you." Ren says with his sword pointed towards me. "Put that thing away before you hurt yourself rookie. You're no match for me, and you know it." I say. He scoffs and sheaths his blade. "You just caught me off guard, that's all." he says. "I caught you off guard? You're the Baka that attacked me." I say and laugh mockingly. "Shut up!" He pouts, making me laugh. "Ah Ren, still a rookie." I say and stick out my tongue. "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" he says like a child. I laugh harder, Kaien, and Zero join in. Ren, you never change.
