A/N: Some short comfort stuff for losing a pet, requested on tumblr

You shot Shouta a text, looking for some words of comfort. He was stuck at UA almost all the time nowadays, so he didn't know about what had happened yet.

"Hey, do you have some time to talk? Call maybe?" you sent him.

Surprisingly, he answered almost right away: "I'll call you in a minute"

Luckily, you didn't have to wait for long, which was sort of weird, since Aizawa tended to forget things like this, especially when he was busy. He did always eventually call you, but still.

Your phone rang after a few minutes of waiting, and you picked it up from the table.

"Hey love" you heard from the other end of the call.

"Hi, do you have a bit of time to talk, I'd rather not start this conversation if you have to go right away"

"I have time, what's this about? You sound upset" Aizawa said.

He wasn't really sure what you wanted to talk about, but it sounded very serious.

"I am Sho. My pet passed away last night and I don't know what to do with myself" you sniffled, wiping a tear from your cheek

"I'm so sorry to hear that, do you want me to come to your place?" Aizawa asked.

"I know you're busy with your teaching duties... but if you can, that'd be great" you said.

"I'll be on my way soon" Aizawa said and hung up the phone.

When Aizawa got to your place, he knocked on the door, and you opened it almost right away. Diving into his arms, and hugging him tightly.

"It's okay, let's go inside" he said as you stepped back and grabbed his hand, leading him inside at his request.

You sat on the couch and he sat next to you. Aizawa wrapped his arm around your shoulders and held you close.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked, rubbing your arm.

"I don't really know. I don't know what to say, they're gone and I'm upset"

"Tell me more about them if you'd like? What's your favorite memory you have of them?"

You talked and Shouta listened and held you while you rambled on about what your pet had been like when you'd just gotten them and how you'd grown up with them. You cried a lot, but he didn't mind, it was good for you to get it all out.

Aizawa had had a cat that had passed away when he was a teen, but after that, he hadn't gotten himself a pet. He remembered the heart ache he had felt when the little bugger passed, so he knew what you were going through.
