Ghostin- Ariana Grande
————————————————————————
Lilith sat perched on her bike, one foot on the ground, the other on her peddle as she stared at the all-too familiar corner store in front of her for a solid 5 minutes, contemplating even going in at all.

What if it just turned into another argument? Both ash and Lilith were extremely stubborn and argumentative people, they could rarely speak through a disagreement without it becoming an argument these days.

She rode over to where the bike would be safe, locked it to a pole, and walked into the corner store, smiling a little at fez while was sat on the counter smoking a blunt, as usual.

"Hey fez... is ash back there?" She mumbled, avoiding eye contact which just made him chuckle at her sudden shyness and nod a bit.

"Sure is, kid. Go get yo boy." Fez muttered, nodding his head once at her before continuing to smoke and do his usual fezco things.

She took a deep breath, walking to the cooler door and knocking on it a before waiting for ash's usual deep voice to call through.

"Come in." He called.

She opened the door and closed it behind her, standing there in front of him for a few seconds as he just stared at her in shock.

She was stubborn. How was she stubborn but coming to see him instead of him going to see her?

She cleared her throat, breaking eye contact before walking to the small couch next to his desk and sitting on it, leaning back and playing with her nail anxiously.

"I think- um- I think we need to like. Talk. About everything." She said quietly, making him nod and lean back in his chair, eyes not leaving her once.

"So like. Um. I guess like. I'm sorry? For completely blowing up in your face like that, at that party," She mumbled, looking up from her hands to his face. "But if I'm gonna apologise for exploding on you like that, I might as well tell you why I did it while I'm here." She sighed, making him nod a bit.

"I know we've not known each other for long, but ash, I think I like you. And that sounds stupid and unrealistic but-" she was cut off by him scoffing a bit.

"The fuck is that realistic for, ma?" He mumbled, raising an eyebrow as she frowned at his interruption.

"Because... you're YOU and I'm ME. I'm lucky I can even be best friends with you, you're the funniest, most caring, rudest, most antisocial person I've ever met and I get the chance to be your best friend! Being your best friend is a blessing but somehow that was stupidly not enough for my ungrateful ass and I had to go and fall for you too! And now this has probably fucked up our entire friendship and I don't want that, I want me and you to at least be best friends because you mean so much to me ash!" She said, tears forming in her eyes as she stared at him.

He sat there, deep in thought for a few seconds before he got off his chair, crouching in front of her and reaching forward, holding her hands gently in his.

"Look. I feel like I have to give you some sort of explanation for what happened too, so here's mine, and I want you to listen carefully, alright?" He said, making her nod and smile a bit. He reached forward and wiped a few stray tears away before taking her hands back in his again.

"When I saw you and that guy dancin all up on each other I got jealous as shi. I didn't understand why at that point, I don't do well wit feelings yanno? But I went and made out wit that ugly blonde bitch because I wanted to get my own back. I didn't get my own back, as soon as I realised I hurt you it started to hurt me even more and I realised how badly I fucked up ma. And then when I started to question why I did what I did and why I felt how I felt, I realised I like you too. Like, really like you. So bad that I'd do anything for you. I'd fuckin kill for you, ma." He mumbled, looking down as he sighed.

"I've always been too proud to apologise. You know this. I'm way too stubborn for that shi. I've never been the bigger person unless fez forced me to, so honestly, if yo dumbass didn't come here and talk to me first, I doubt we'd be talking again for a while." He chuckled.

She giggled a bit at his words too, before leaning forward and wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him into a hug.

He instantly hugged back, both their bodies relaxing at the touch they'd badly needed for the past few days, silence falling between them for a minute or so before he finally spoke.

"I'm really sorry ma. I am, I know it's hard to believe but I am so fuckin sorry." He mumbled, burying his head into her neck as she tightened her arms around him.

"I'm sorry too, ash. I said shit I ain't proud of and that ain't good. But it's fine, you're fine. I forgive you." She whispered, before pulling away from him and kissing his cheek softly.

"I forgive you too..." he whispered, before resting his forehead against hers, his eyes closing as he let out a small sigh of relief, smiling to himself.

"I thought yo ass was done wit me for good this time yanno, shawty." He giggled, making her chuckle too.

"I could never be done with you for good, dumbass. You're everything to me." She replied, before pulling away and smiling at him.

He leaned in slightly, eyes flickering between her eyes and her lips. Her heartbeat picked up, a small smile tugging at her mouth as his lips grazed hers slightly, but before anything could go any further the door to the back room swung open, making the two jump away, blushing profusely.

"Ash we're gon- oh, fuck, did I interrupt somethin?" Fez said, eyes wide as they flickered between the younger boy and girl, not really knowing what to say.

Ash cleared his throat slightly, smiling at the girl before shaking his head at his brother. "Uh- no, no it's fine, what's up?" Ash said, fezco suddenly remembering what he went back there for as Lilith sat on the small couch awkwardly.

"Uh- fuck, yeah, was gon say we're closing up early so I can go out wit lexi for the evenin." Fez muttered, smiling at the two before leaving again.

The two suddenly bursted out laughing, their cheeks still stained a deep red as they looked at each other in shock.

They both stood up after they'd calmed down a bit, starting to tidy the place up before ash leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Lilith's cheek, smiling at her.

"You look beautiful, by the way." He said, making her blush even more as her heart skipped a beat.

Because, no matter how many times he'd complimented her before this, she'd still never gotten used to it and she knew that she never would.

Authors note;
I love the fact that I am absolutely nowhere near ending this story yet. My notes is FULL of brainstorming ideas for the future of lilith and ashtray 😭🤣
I'm not gonna spoil the end of this book, obviously, but in no way am I gonna end it the way the show ends ashtray. That isn't happening in a million years, so rest assured your hearts (hopefully) won't be too broken.
