Into it- chase Atlantic ———————————————————— Lilith sat on the counter in the liquor store, swinging her legs slightly while scrolling through her phone, sipping occasionally on a Gatorade ash had passed to her ten minutes prior.
Fez was stood next to her, counting the cash from the cash register while ash was out back sorting through the drugs they had, and making notes of what they needed to bring from their house to stock up.
"Y'know," Lilith muttered as she looked up at fezco from her phone. "School doesn't seem nearly as bad now that I have a gun and people know me forreal, you get what I mean?" She muttered, fez looking up at her with slight confusion washing over his expressions.
"You're going to school?" He asked, putting the cash down on the counter and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Well- I mean, yeah? Probably, I don't really have anything else to do and I forsure won't when everyone else goes back next week." She said, shrugging as she shut off her phone and placed it next to her.
"Well, like, don't you think that'd be too dangerous? Yanno, now ya sell drugs and shi." Fez mumbled, pulling a pre rolled blunt from behind his ear and sparking his clipper, lighting the blunt and taking a long drag before holding it out to her.
"Well obviously, but I can protect myself. Plus, maybe I can bring in more business if I go to school and people get to know me." She shrugged, accepting the blunt and taking a deep drag before handing it back to the older male.
"Eh, well that's alright. You are right, and as long as you can protect yoself ion see why it'd be an issue." Fez muttered, before their attention turned to ashtray walking into the main shop itself, a notepad and pen in hand.
"You wanna go to school?!" Ash asked, raising an eyebrow at his girlfriend as she smiled sweetly at him.
"Well, yeah! Like I said to fez, no one really knows me so I'm not exactly in danger, and i can protect myself if I am, and I can bring in some more business if people get to know me." She repeated, taking another sip of the Gatorade as ash walked to her, standing between her legs and wrapping his arms around her waist.
Fez rolled his eyes at the gross affection. He found it cute, of course he did, his little brother was smitten by a girl they'd known for a few months tops, but it was still gross.
"Hey guys!" Lexi chirped, walking into the store, instantly letting fez walk to her and hug her as if he needed drastic saving from the disgusting sight before him.
"Hey Lex, didn't know you were stopping by today?" Lilith said, smiling at the older girl as lexi giggled and hugged fez back, nodding a bit.
"Well, I wasn't planning on it, but I figured I'd stop by, and just also let you know Maddy and Nate are probably gonna stop by at some point, I dunno they said sum about cherry rolling papers and I know maddy only likes the ones fez sells." Lex said, making Lilith nod and turn her attention back to ash.
Lilith personally didn't like Nate Jacob's. She hadn't had a particular run in with Nate that made her dislike him, but she knew he was abusive towards Maddy and that made her blood boil, but with nothing personal against Nate she couldn't do anything right then.
"Cool." Lilith mumbled, before burying her face into ash's neck. ——————————— "Remember my cherry rolling papers!" Maddy called from the car that was now parked outside fezco and ashtrays liquor store, Nate walking confidently into the shop, nodding as she said so.
The interaction itself held no issues, fezco and ashtray having no problem with Nate and Lilith being relatively calm.
Lilith's eyes met Maddy's and she smiled, waving at the girl who waved back sweetly.
Maddy and Lilith had grown extremely close while Lilith was in east highland, so close that Lilith could easily say she saw Maddy as an older sister role model sort of friend, as well as one of her best friends.
Maddy didn't get out to talk to Lilith, and Lilith didn't move to go to the car to talk to Maddy either, but Lilith figured they'd just catch up one of the coming days, or at school. Whenever they saw each other next was fine.
Lilith's attention was dragged away from Maddy as ash grabbed her hand and squeezed, not too tight to hurt her but tight enough to let her know he was still next to her.
The girl instinctively put it down to ash being jealous someone else was holding Lilith's attention, but she quickly realised that it was more because Nate was eyeing Lilith a lot, a predatory hint in his gaze as he smirked slightly, his eyes meeting the younger girls quickly.
Nothing was said between anyone, an uncomfortable silence falling over the store as fez served Nate and told him how much he needed, Nate handing fez the cash and telling him to keep the change before he turned to leave, eyes lingering on Lilith for a second longer than what she was comfortable with.
"The fuck was that about?" Ash mumbled, raising an eyebrow as Lilith waved goodbye to Maddy, Nate driving off.
"I honestly have no idea." Lilith sighed, before shrugging. "Anyway, I'm pretty sure he's abusing Maddy." She mumbled, making ashtrays eyes widen.
"Forreal?" Ash asked, Lilith nodding.
"Yeah, and it's fuckin pissing me off, I love Maddy way too much to watch her go through this shit but ion know what to do." She said, making ash sigh.
"We'll figure it out, shawty. Ion like the way he looked at you, and ion like the way you sayin he treats his homegirl either." Ash said, pulling Lilith into a gentle side hug before they jumped down from the counter, walking to the back room to hang out by themselves, without the presence of Fezco or Lexi.
They sat in a comfortable silence for a little while, Lilith scrolling through her phone while waiting for ash to finish cleaning up the drugs from his count-up earlier.
Ash held his hands out to Lilith, Lilith getting up from the couch and walking to him, sitting on his lap comfortably as he sat on his chair behind the desk.
She kissed her cheek sweetly before sighing, looking at him through slightly hooded red eyes, the high still taking affect from the weed she'd smoked earlier with fezco.
"Hey ash?" She mumbled, tracing her fingers over his small face tattoos.
"Yeah?"
She smirked, before kissing his cheek again and letting her hand linger over his tattoos.
"I think I want a tattoo."
Authors note: Yes it's another shitty filler chapter (tryna move the plot along w some of it tho), and it's late again, I didn't upload last night because I'm in a huge depressive episode BUT I am working on another few chapters while uploading this one hehe.
