Something Fishy

"The miss sea queen pageant. How sexist can you get? What kind of a moron would enter something like this?" asked Rikki, looking at the paper, then Miriam being a Karen grabbed it

"I don't remember you asking to grab the paper" I said

"You all aren't thinking of entering miss sea queen pageant--" started Miriam 

"I'd rather drop dead" said Rikki

"Besides, it's some stupid pageant, like get a life. Life's not about winning, it's...I guess it's about chilling and chasing after your dreams" I said

"Well, I'm entering. Oh, and if you're thinking of entering Cleo, a word of advice, don't bother" said Miriam

"As if you'd ever win. People probably would ever vote for you because of threatens" I said as Miriam left

"I know, right?" asked Rikki, as we laughed

"You're entering the pageant?!" I asked Cleo, as she made her water float, and cleaned her fish bowl.

"Yeah, how bad can it be?" asked Cleo

"It's a stupid pageant, you could do better" I said

"Y/n, come on, it could be fun" she said

"Fine, do it your way. But if Miriam makes fun of you, I'm going to beat her little as--" I started

"Y/n, language!" said Cleo

"Fine! Fine" I said

Then there was a knock on the door, and Kim entered "Why are you guys always shutting your door?"

"Privacy?" I asked

"To keep you out. Did we say come in?" asked Cleo

"Well, why do you need to keep me out?" asked Kim

"Because you're annoying" said Cleo

"Sorry, Kim. Bye" I said

"What did you do with your fish?" asked Kim

"They're in the bathtub" I said

Kim went in there, then Cleo put the fish back in the bucket. 

"How did you do that? There's nothing in the bath!" said Kim, coming back

"Did we say bath? We meant bucket" I said

Cleo and I were reading something, then her mother spilled a little water on us. We rushed upstairs into the bath. 

"It's only water guys" we heard her say, but we still ran upstairs. 

We locked ourselves in the bathroom, phew. That was close.

I then started to use my powers to try ourselves.

"Are you guys crazy?!" asked Emma

"So what? We just wrote a little book about our mermaid life. No one would every find it" I said, but to my surprise, when I opened the drawer....it wasn't there.

"I....take that back. First time in 5 years" I said
