I had a friend one, who said she cared

She told me that she'd always be there.

I had a friend once who said I was strong

If only I knew she was broken all along.

I had a friend once who said I was beautiful

But the real beauty was inside her.

I had a friend once who said I was good at art

But the real art was on her arm.

*They little her wrists

*In tiny red whisps

*They covered her thighs

I had a friend once whose life only just beginning

Too bad we didn't listen before it came to an ending.

She barely had time to say goodbye before she died

But she told me not to worry my pretty little mind,

Because it was more than past her time.

I had a friend once whose smile shone the brightest

But even the brightest people seem to dim.

She became shattered and never had her chance to win.

I had a friend once whose thoughts killed her mind

Even so, I'm not far behind.

Two people broken beyond repair

Forever scarred, lost in dispair.

Why be dead on the inside,

If you can't be dead on the outside too?

I had a friend once...
