I packed my last box of clothes and junk. I'm leaving my dorm room today after 4 years here. Allie was asleep and already packed. I shook her.
"Al, get up, we've got 45 minutes left to be here." I said to her. She turned over and was crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"I'm not ready to leave." She said turning over. Not ready to leave this hell hole?
"Well we gotta go." I said.
I carried my last box to my car. I'm happy to start a new chapter in my life and to move on from the pains I once had. I walked back up to my dorm room one last time. Allie was finally dressed and ready. She hugged me and I hugged her back, this might be the last time we'll see eachother, I'm moving to Georgia and she's moving to California. We held our hug for at least a minute and then we both let go the embrace.
"Love you bitch." She said smiling.
"Love you too hoe." I said a little breathless. I wanted to cry but if she saw me cry she'd cry more. I walked down the hall my last time and to my car. I started the car and started to cry. I put my face in my hands. I then heard my phone ring. It was a unknown number.
Hello?
Hey,yeah dis Patricia?
Yes? Who's this?
August..
I damn near dropped my phone when he told me his name. I can't believe he called me. I whipped my tears and took a deep breathe.

I hung up. My tears turn to a smile. I feel so blessed. I could cry again. I took my car out of park and drove off to my Mawmaw house.
