Part 9: He will always protect you

⚠️Blood warning

You and Draco walk to school as he is talking about his quidditch game that he is going to play on Friday. You continue walking and dozing off when you trip on a loose piece of pavement and get your hand scraped up. 

"Love, are you ok?" Draco asked as you sensed the panic in his voice even as he's trying to hide it. He can see that the wound is deep and you have a rock in your hand.

"That's what I get for not paying attention."
Draco still worried helps you up.

"This is going to hurt."

"What is going to-"

 
You were cut off by Draco pulling the now covered in blood rock out of your hand.

"Son of a hippogriff that hurt."

 
"I'm sorry I had to. Can I heal it?"

"How would you heal it?"

 
Draco takes your hand and uses the spell Vulnera Sanentur which heals deep wounds.

"How did you know about that spell?"

 
"Your dad taught me."

 
"Jeez, he hasn't even taught me that spell."

"I'm surprised, he made it himself you know."

"How come he has never told me this?"

 
"I guess he had hoped you'd never have to use it."

"Thank you Draco."
"I will always protect you."

You and him walked to school in silence the rest of the way. Not the awkward kind like on a first date. But the kind like you have known each other for years and don't need to talk because you know what the other person is thinking, that kind of silence.
You arrive at the school and go off to talk to Hermione.

"Hey y/n"

"Hey, Hermione."

"Got any news you want to tell me?"

 
"Well me and Draco are dating."

"I knew it!"

"How may I ask?"

"I'm not daft I saw you love birds holding hands. Merlin's beard y/n you both look completely and utterly in love."

 
"Is it that obvious?" Hermione laughs and you guys walk to your first class talking all the way.
