flat-faced hours before I have to take a long drive to a little casino in a little shanty town wasn't a really good idea, but c'mon I was dying for a drink. I started noticing I kept scanning the area every minute and people were giving me looks as if I were having an OCD attack.
Kellen, the bartender, batted an eye at me worried. "You okay Darius?" Kellen asked me, looking worried, as she poured me another drink. "You've been acting like you on something and I'm worried about you because you look like you're gonna have a mental breakdown."
I responded, "Yea just got a big game ahead of me and you know how some big things give you chills, right?."
"Sure, I guess. But Darius I can read you like a book and there has to be something other than this big game." She proceeded to use air quotes and gave me suspicious looks.
"Ah you got me, I'm afraid that you're going to poison my drink and rob me blind while I'm gurgling the drink," I said jokingly.
Kellen raised her eyebrow, which fun fact only one out of ten people can do instead of raising both. "Darius please, I just want to help you and you seem like the most stable person here excluding the fact that you gamble a lot."
"I know, I know," I said slowly. "But listen, it's a really stupid thing that shouldn't be any of your business, and don't worry about me okay," I said politely as I was taking another drink.
Kellen looked upset and had this whole expression like she failed or something, she then said, "Okay I'll listen just for this one time, plus I've missed you being here," she said nervously. "Just enjoy yourself for the rest of the night and don't get into any trouble, you hear?"
"Yes madam Kellen, I'll be a good boy and won't get into any jibber jabber tonight." As I said imitating, slurring my words like a drunk.

HumorThe plot is about gambler Darius Vapline who signs himself for a high-stakes poker game. Also, this is a short story I had to write recently in a short amount of time led me to a shitty ending. I honestly despise this story because I didn't write it...
