Chapter 7

Tiamat has not even made it half way in the book before she closes it and places it on her lap. There has to be an easier way to read this faster. While deep in thought she didn't notice an owl fly by and drop a pinkish letter on Charlie's head. Tiamat raises her head as Charlie going pale, but before she could even ask the letter opens itself and loudly says, "CHARLIE WEASLEY! WHY DID YOU NOT TELL US YOU WERE COMING HOME! WE HAD TO FIND OUT FROM YOUR BROTHER-"

The letter didn't get to finish as Tiamat lit up in a dark red flame.

"That is one loud woman,"

Charlie chuckles, "Can't deny that, but I am to blame for not letting her know. Either, what was up with that fire?"

"I didn't want my ears to suffer,"

Charlie shakes his head, "That's not it. I mean the color of your fire is completely different from the other dragons,"

"Oh, that-"

"Wait!" he says and hurries into his tent only to come out a second later with small book and something to write. He grins, "I remember a friend at the reserve gave me this notebook and pen as he called it. Which would work better than a quill and parchment."

"Right," she says, eyeing him carefully who just stare at her with pen ready.

Am I under investigation? At least he means no harm and is just curious.

"I don't know if others have similar flame like mine," she lifts one of her hand and a dark red flame appears in her palm, "but mine is like this with unique properties."

Charlie nods scribbling in his notebook, "What about-"

"Charlie!"

Tiamat extinguishes the flame as a red head guys runs over to Charlie. Who grumbles as Tiamat stands up and heads up toward the castle only to stop when she sees a girl with blond hair feeding a creature in the lake.

"Careful," Tiamat says just as one of the tentacles go for one of her legs, but she moves away before it can wrap around it.

"Thank you. I am Luna Lovegood," she says.

Tiamat nods, "Tiamat,"

Luna's eyes land on the book in Tiamat's hand, "Do you need help? I guess some words might be new,"

Tiamat blinks a few times and nods, "You are very observant,"

Luna smiles. They find a spot to sit and Luna helps her learn the new words meaning.

"Charlie, are you seriously taking care of a dragon? Because there are rumors that say she is curse or a half breed of some creature,"

Charlie glares, "Ron! I would watch your tone when you speak about her and yes she is a dragon,"

"Yes, baby brother be respectful," Fred says, putting an arm around Ron's shoulder.

"Exactly or you could become her dinner!" George says and the twins burst out laughing as Ron shrugs Fred's arm off.

"Just make sure nothing happens!" Ron says and runs off.

"What's wrong with him?" ask Charlie.

Fred and George share a knowing grin.

"He is angry because he saw her help Hermione and linger for a bit,"

"Yeah and he thinks she did something to Hermione because when she left Hermione completely zooned out,"

"Ignoring him completely,"

George nods, "He thinks she did something to Hermione,"

Charlie crosses his arms, "Sorry, to say dragons can't charm anyone only the person they deem suitable they would pursuit. There are a lot of steps to the courting, but it all depends on the dragon,"

"Can they become dangerous if a third person gets in the way?"

Charlie narrow his eyes, "Why?"

The twin smile, "No reason,"
