Chapter 13

Hermione's rubs her face trying to soothe the soreness from smiling each time she walks by Ron with the Veela who she later found out Colette.

"You okay, Hermione?" Colette asks.

"I am fine-" She is grab by the arms.

"If you don't mind we will be taking her with us for a moment," George says.

"Yes, so if you would excuse us!" Fred says, quickly dragging Hermione away from Colette who didn't get a word out. The twins didn't stop still they reached an empty greenhouse which seems to be the closes to where they were.

Hermione grumbles as pulls her arms back from the twins.

"What's the meaning of this? You two could have asked not drag me,"

"We did ask,"

Hermione crosses her arms, "No you didn't only say what you were going to do,"

"Fine, but that is not the point here," George says, stopping Fred from starting an argument with her.

Hermione raises an eyebrow, "If its not then do tell what is the point?"

"The point is that you should stay away from the Veela,"

"You two were the ones who suggested I did it!"

"Yes-"

"We did have other things plans," Fred adds.

"Yes, but they will have to go because we mess up and to avoid it becoming even worse then its best to stop early," George finishes.

Hermione drops her arms and one goes for her wand.

"What happened? And what did you do with the twins? Because I am sure they wouldn't stop a plan,"

"We are still us,"

"Just that we want to live longer because one of the involve parties is not keen on jokes,"

Hermione narrow her eyes glancing between each of them, "Do explain,"

The twin's nods and each tell parts of what Charlie told them and the risk of messing with Tiamat.

Hermione raises a hand as the other rubs her temple, "Let me get this straight; you are saying that I should not bother with Colette because Tiamat gets jealous when she is around me. If its not stop she might kill someone because Charlie assumes I am her mate?"

The twin's grin and gives her a thumbs up.

"Correct," they both say at the same time.

"Do you know how ridicules this all sounds?" she asks.

The twin's glance at each other and George says, "Not really because we are dealing with a dragon that magic doesn't always work on, but you don't seem that angry or surprise at the mention of you being her mate,"

Hermione's eyes widen as her cheeks take a light blush, "Well... I.. she is just an interesting person,"

"Riiight, tell yourself that,"

Charlie makes it as far as the lake edge before a student runs up to him and tells him to go to the headmaster's office.

Charlie kicks himself from not telling the student that he's busy, but old habits of being call at school and told to go the headmaster is something not easily broken. So, it damps his spirits as he knocks on the door.

"Enter," says Dumbledore.

Charlie takes a deep breath, mentally preparing himself and making sure to shield his mind in case the Headmaster tries to read it.

Dumbledore looks up as he enters, smiling at him.

"Charlie! Take a seat and do you want something to drink?"

Charlie shakes his head, "I would rather stand and what is it that requires my presence Headmaster?"

"How are thing going with Tiamat?"

"They are fine and she has been helping Hagrid with classes and other magical creatures,"

Dumbledore nods, "Good, good. Anything else? That you have learn from her?"

Charlie shrugs, "She's not keen on going into details because I was curious about the comment she said that one night about the war that made me wonder if it can be truly be classified as a war,"

Dumbledore leans back in his chair, "Hmm, that is true and it wouldn't be easy to get her to open up, but does she at least trust you?"

Charlie bites his lip as to present that he's thinking before nodding, "But I am not sure how much of her trust I have,"

Dumbledore nods, "Understandable,"

"Headmaster, if I can ask why is Rita Skeeter here?"

He smiles, "Oh, she just doing a piece on the tournament since it has not been held in a century or so,"

"I see,"

Charlie wants to ask more to see what else he could learn, but that would risk things and he didn't want that. But one thing he is sure about is that Rita is not only here for the tournament she plans to out Tiamat to the whole world that have forgotten her.
