"How long are you going to stare at me?" ask Hermione lifting her gaze to green eyes piercing into her.

"When you tell me what is going on," he says.

She shakes her head returning to her homework.

"You have not written anything for over five minutes," he points out to her annoyance.

She places her quill down, "You are impossible do you know that,"

Harry smiles, "Thank you, so will you start talking or do I have to guess,"

She stares at him which only makes him grin even more.

"Does it have to do with Tiamat? And the rumors around her?"

Hermione tilts her head, "Rumors? Like what?" Harry shrugs, "They are mostly about her origins and what she did to get chained. Some find her interesting and wonder if they could beat her to see how much she would fetch,"

"Horrible!"

Harry nods, "There are more like that even ones where they want to sleep with her. That if you ask me that would be difficult."

"They make her seem like she is bad when she is not,"

Harry hums, "You talk as if you shared words with her," Hermione glances away a light blush on her cheeks. Which didn't go unnoticed by Harry who widen his eyes leaning forward in the armchair, "You did talk to her,"

"We didn't have much of a conversation, but she did help me by catching some books before they fell on the ground,"

"And?"

Hermione turns back to him with narrow eyes, "And, what?"

He shakes his head, "Nothing, just wish we could know more that I am even tempted to go to her and ask,"

"Do you think that will work?"

Harry frowns, "Then do you have a better idea?"

Hermione nods, "Ask a professor,"

He leans back closing his eyes, "How is that better than what I suggested first?"

"Simple asking her might not give us an answer since she is not required to, but a professor is required to answer any question a student has,"

"I think they can also refuse to answer too and I should know from the many times I have asked the headmaster to let me stay the summer as not to go back to them," he sighs.

"That's because you are asking about something unrelated to school,"

Harry opens one eye, "Meaning?"

"Meaning it should be asked in a form relating to school which they are suppose to answer. Otherwise, they will be failing on their duty as a professor," Hermione explains.

Harry sits up nodding, "And who will you be able to ask?"

Hermione smiles, "Our head of house, of course,"

Harry lips part to answer when the portrait is slam open and a fuming Ron stomps in.

"What wrong, mate? Did a Slytherin do something or did you get detention," Harry says.

Ron stops and turns to them eyes blazing in fury directed at Hermione who brows knit together.

"You should stay away from that woman!"

Hermione stands up, "Who are you to tell me who I can or can't be around with!"

Ron grumbles and with one more glare he stomps away to the male dorms.

Hermione crosses her arms, "What's wrong with him?"

Harry stands up, "I'll go check,"

Hermione nods and gathers up her school work to take it upstairs. As Harry goes to check on Ron she goes on search for professor McGonagall. Instead, she runs into the same person they were talking about.

Two hands grab her shoulder to steady her, "Are you okay? Or I will start thinking you have bad eye sight,"

Hermione shakes her head, "My vision is good," she says in a hurry gaining a chuckle from Tiamat.

"Well I would like to talk more, but I am not supposed to be here without my escort," and goes to leave.

"Wait!"

Tiamat stops and glances back at Hermione, but before Hermione could get a word out someone else says, "Ms. Granger," in which Tiamat takes that chance to leave and to Hermione's disappointment.

Hermione turns toward the voice of her head of house, "Yes, professor?"
