Hagrid takes a deep breath and knocks on the headmaster's office door.
"Enter,"
Hagrid entered his office and Dumbledore looks up smiling.
"Hagrid! My boy, how are you? Everything good with Tiamat?"
"Good morning headmaster. I am fine and everything is good with her she mostly spends her time outside near me hut. But that is not why I am here,"
Dumbledore lowers his quill giving him his full attention.
"Students will soon come and I was wondering if we can have a Dragonologist as to give the students nothing to worry about knowing there is an expert around,"
Dumbledore nods, "I agree with that idea, but who?"
"If I might suggest Charlie Weasley,"
Dumbledore smiles, "Ah, he would be perfect and might keep a very good eye on her. If we are lucky he would study here and give us information since most have been lost,"
Hagrid frowns, "You think she is dangerous?"
He intertwines his fingers on top of the desk, "Hagrid, don't forget that she is a dragon no matter what she looks like,"
Hagrid nods gaze lower.
"Glad you understand and I will let Mr. Weasley know," Dumbledore says.
Charlie stares at the letter which he has read multiple times during the day even when he was with the dragons it kept repeating in his head.
"Headmaster Dumbledore brought a dragon to Hogwarts and want me to help guard it?" He shakes his head and throws on his jacket. He made his way through the campsite to the chief tent.
"Mr. Kingstone? Are you in?"
"Come on it, Weasley," a rough voice says.
Charlie enters the tent going straight to the man with hair cut close to his head and bulky built that somehow didn't seem to break the weak chair he sits on.
"What can I do for you?"
"I was sent a letter from the Headmaster Dumbledore asking me if I could spend time at the school to keep watch over a dragon,"
Mr. Kingstone looks up from his papers and extends a hand for the letter which Charlie hands over.
He watches him closely as he read. His face emotionless still he got to the last part where his eyes widen. Charlie knows which part it is and its also the most confusing part of the whole thing.
"He found her..."
Charlie narrows his eyes, "Is not that a myth?"
Mr. Kingstone shakes his head, "Oh no. She's very real and her location has been lost for centuries..." he then breaks out into a laugh.
"How did we not realize it? The dragons knew," he manages to get out after calming down.
"You mean when all the dragons gathered together that night and sang into the night sky. Only for us not to see them for three days?" Charlie asks.
Mr. Kingstone nods, returns the letter.
"It wasn't only here, but similar things happened in the others reserves,"
"They were celebrating," Charlie says.
"Exactly, which is why you should go and confirm if it's really her,"
"How will I even know?"
Mr. Kingstone smirks, "You will when you see her. But remember who's side you are on because I don't doubt that Headmaster would ask you give him information about her,"
"If he does what do I say?" asks Charlie.
"Enough not to get you in trouble with him or lose her trust,"
"You make it seem like-"
Mr. Kingstone slams his fist on the table, "Like nothing Mr. Weasley! Remember the moment you started here your loyalty is that to the dragons not wizards. Do I make myself clear?"
Charlie straightens up, "Yes, sir!"
Mr. Kingstone leans back in his chair, "Good. Make sure to be respectful and mind your words,"
Charlie tilts his head, "You make it seem as if we would be able to talk to each other,"
Mr. Kingstone nods, "If what they say its true then you will get your wish of having a conversation with a dragon,"
Charlie bows his head and left to pack for his trip. A smile not leaving his face.
