Tiamat didn't see the man for a few days after that conversation. The next time he come night has fallen.
"How are you?"
Tiamat rolls her eyes, "Again?"
"Right, I apologize. I have managed to change your..."
"Prison," she supplies.
"Well, I don't want you think about it like prison,"
Her chains drag behind her as she moves closer the door, "I am not living in a fantasy and I don't need any pretty words, child," she stands in front of him who has to look up to meet her yellow eyes, "let's go because I do want to get out of this hole."
Dumbledore takes his wand out and flicks it. The chains unlock from the floor, but only they disappear the cuffs around her wrists, ankles, and neck are still very much attach to her.
She grumbles, "Can you at least remove the one around my neck? It makes it difficult to turn my head especially now that there will be things to see."
"That stops you from roasting me,"
"Do you really think I will do that and get sent back in here?" she asks.
He seems to think about it for a little longer before nodding. The relief of being able to move her neck anyway she wants is a great relief. That she ignores how the other cuffs is given a boost in magic.
"Thank you,"
"Your welcome, shall we go?" he asks putting his arm out. Tiamat places a hand on his forearm and they apparate to the gates of Hogwarts. Tiamat quickly drops her hand.
"Here-" he starts to say only to lose his words as he looks Tiamat up and down.
Tiamat raises an eyebrow, "What?"
He clears his throat, "Well you don't seem," he frowns focusing on her head, "can you make those disappear?"
"No. Can you get rid of that long beard?"
"Its my signature look," he strokes his beard.
"Then don't make me get hide my horns," she glances up, "What do you teach here?"
His smile returns as he motions her to follow him which she does even wishing the soft click is an illusion of her new prison. Tiamat turns him out as he goes explaining about the founders of the school and what they teach. Which she could careless about, at least it has open grounds. Eyes searching for a good spot.
"I don't need to be inside, correct,"
"No, I was thinking you would like to stay with our gamekeeper he is fond of dragons," Dumbledore chuckles.
"I am not a toy,"
Dumbledore nods, "I am aware,"
"For how long do I need to play as a pet for this place before I can return to my kind?" asks Tiamat.
"Soon," he says and Tiamat narrows her eyes as he turns away from her and waves a man with brown hair that seems to cover most of his face.
Part giant by the looks of it.
"Headmaster! What am I good for?"
"Hagrid, I want you to host Tiamat here who I am sure you will get along with since she-"
"Dragon!"
"Well yes,"
Hagrid lowers his head toward Tiamat, "Its great honor! To be yer presence, Queen Tiamat."
"Well it seems one does remember," she glares at Dumbledore walking pass him. Hagrid said something to him before jogging to catch up to Tiamat.
"I can't believe you are really here or that I would live long enough to ever meet you,"
Tiamat shrugs, "I honestly didn't expect to be taken out, but I am more curious as to how you know of me when I am sure most wizards would have written me out of history along with the war,"
Hagrid sighs, "Ya, I only know because there was a student here who is fond of dragons and I no doubt would freak if he met ya," he chuckles at that.
"I would like to meet him. He might answer some questions I want to know,"
Hagrid nods, "I'll write to him and ask headmaster is he could stay with the excuse of keeping you under control," she narrows her eyes, "I meant as an excuse not that you need to be controlled."
She smiles, "I'm aware,"
This might be more interesting than I thought.
