Chapter 19

Tiamat didn't beat herself because of what happened and quickly picks up Hermione in her arms to make her way to the castle.

"Tiamat!" Charlie says rushing toward her cover in dark powder most likely due to the explosion.

"We didn't succe- what happened to her?!" Charlie quickly checks over Hermione.

Tiamat frowns, "I'm killing her," she simply says and gives him Hermione to him before moving away from them.

"You wouldn't do that," he tries to argue only as she shakes her head, "You sure about that? Look at her," he glances down at Hermione who's breathing starts to even out as the red lines slowly disappears.

"See. Now that the cuffs are off my strength and magic are growing stronger. Which her body can't handle at the moment or if it even will."

"Tiamat..."

"I didn't believe she would react like this and its worse when I said I wasn't going to leave her behind. However, I have no choice because I rather she lives than die," says Tiamat.

Charlie shakes his head, "There has to be another way,"

Tiamat narrows her eyes and moves forward. Hermione still unconscious takes a sharp breath as the lines start reappearing and without mistake her temperature rising.

"Can you deny what you just witness with your own eyes? Because I can't and I would rather live with her hating me than knowing I killed her," Tiamat says, voice fill with sadness and determination.

"Then what do I tell her?" he asks.

Tiamat shrugs, "Your choice," and goes to leave only to stop and say, "if its not much to ask can you keep an eye on her for me?"

"Of course," Charlie says.

Hermione wakes ups moves to sit up first noticing Harry's worry gaze follow by the sad and dark look from Charlie who seems to be in deep thought.

"What happened and where is Tia?" she asks.

Harry takes her hand giving it a squeeze and glancing to Charlie. His shoulders slump as he says, "Gone,"

Hermione eyes widen, "What... why? She said she wasn't going to leave?!" she demands glancing between them.

"Tell her Charlie or I will," says Harry.

"She left because she would rather have you hate her than being nearby and kill you. I don't know how much she has told you, but you know how not everyone can work with dragons?"

Hermione nods taking a few deep breaths to calm down.

"Well it's because most wizards can't handle behind around their strong magic which doesn't affect muggles. However, for wizards it will kill them from the inside out and its even worse for someone as young as you. So, to keep you safe she left and asked me to keep an eye on you."

"Also, me and the twins made up an excuse to explain her disappearance and the fact you were unconscious to avoid then sending a party to kill her," Harry quickly adds. She glances at Charlie for confirmation with he gives by nodding.

"I...I don't want to her to stay away so there has to be a way for me to be able to stand near her," says Hermione.

"I haven't met any wizard who has been able to overcome that or even want to be near a dragon for that long," Charlie says.

"Yes, but its not impossible. You might not know someone, but there had to be a wizard that would have done it,"

Charlie doesn't say anything and gives Harry a side gaze for a second before he says, "Asia. Dragons are loved there and thought of as gods who bring good luck and strength. If a witch/wizard gotten close it would be someone from there,"

Hermione smiles nodding and throws the blanket of her. Forcing Harry to let go of her hand and move back.

"Then let's go,"

Harry's jaw drops open only to close it a second later.

"You want to drop everything and go to Asia?!"

"Yes, is something wrong with that?" Hermione asks.

"Yes! What about school? And we are not adult that can simply head to Asia," Harry says.

Hermione is about to retort when Charlie says, "He is right you can't go now because can't use magic freely and you have to wait still you fully grow up allowing your magic to fully set in your body. I understand, you don't want to wait, but I promise to that when the time comes I will give you all my support along with the other dragon tamers. Because I am no psychic, but I doubt things will stay calm in the wizarding world when everyone is aware that a powerful dragon is free. Especially, one that can gather others some might believe it will put everyone in danger."

Hermione frowns, "Would they really think that?"

Charlie nods, "I suggest this time is not wasted and we find out what happened in that war which ended with Tiamat chained."

Hermione nods.

"I'll leave her to you Harry. I have to give a report to Dumbledore that I can't push back anymore since Hermione woke up,"

"Sure, mate." Harry says and Charlie nods before leaving.

Harry glances at Hermione who has sit down at the edge of the bed with tears flowing freely now that Charlie is not present. Harry has no words that can ease her sadness which he knows its great that even her love of school is less than her care for Tiamat. That didn't stop to make her think twice in wanting to leave and go after her. All Harry could do is hug her, rubbing her back as she cries on him.
