This Isn't Happening

The next day Caius tells Kouichi about the knot he noticed. They go to Materu's travel clinic to check it out.
Caius: "Greetings Materu."
Kouichi: "Hi!"
Materu: "Oh, Prince Caius! And the bride too! What brings you here?"
Caius: "It's about Kouichi..."
Materu: "Oh, is there something wrong?"
Kouichi: "Caius noticed a small knot in my stomach last night. Is there anyway for you to see what that is?"
Materu: "Well that's awfully strange. I can check and see what it is but it will require me to use magic."
Kouichi: "Will it hurt?"
Materu: "Because I'm looking inside your body there will be a small amount of pain, but only for a moment."
Kouichi: "Okay, I'll do it."
Materu: "Alright. Lay here and just relax."
Materu places his hands on Kouichi's stomach and uses his magic to see what is inside.
Materu: "Oh my goodness! I've never seen this before!"
The exclamation worried both Caius and Kouichi. Materu then removes his hands and allows Kouichi to sit up.
Kouichi: "What is it?! Is it bad?"
Materu: "No, of course not! It's wonderful news!"
Kouichi: "Eh?"
Materu: "You're Pregnant!"
Kouichi: "WHAT?!"
Caius: "You're joking!"
Materu: "Congratulations!"
Caius lifts Kouichi into a loving hug.
Kouichi: "We should tell everyone!"
Caius: "Sure."
They all return to the castle earlier than planned. Caius announces the news to the Royal Court which soon makes it to the newspaper. In just two days almost everyone in the kingdom knew. This brought an uproar of excitement but also caused some big changes. Especially in the Royal Court.
Royal Court Member: "Originally because Prince Caius' bride was a man, Princess Naiad was supposed to take the throne. But now that Kouichi is pregnant..."
Royal Court Member 2: "Prince Caius' role to take the throne is now sustained."
