Daddy is sick?

This is after a time skip of 3 years

The couple was sleeping together in their bed. Kouichi, on his side cuddling Caius's arm and using his shoulder as a pillow. And Caius, laying on his back with his head resting above Kouichi's. The morning light came flooding in, waking Kouichi.
"Mmm," he groaned trying to find a position that blocked the sun. But nothing seemed to work. He eventually decided to wake up and get ready for the day. He slowly opened his eyes to see.. a sweating Caius? Kouichi, shocked by the sight, quickly sits up and feels his forehead. "It's burning hot! But Caius never gets sick," he thought to himself. Kouichi attempts to slip out of bed to grab a cloth and some cool water when a hand grabs his. "Babyyy.." Caius whined. "I'm right here. I'm just going to help cool you off." Kouichi said in a soft voice. "Nooo... stayyy.." Caius continued to whine. Kouichi loved this soft side of Caius. He always tries to put up this tough look when he's around Kouichi. But even if this side of him is adorable, he has to help Caius's feel better. "But I have to if-" Then the door opened with a creak and a small girl poked her head in.

"Momma?" She said confused. Usually it's Caius who's up and Kouichi still sleeping. "Why's Daddy sleeping?" She asks walking towards the bed. "Your Daddy isn't feeling well. He needs help from his little princess to make him feel better." Kouichi says as he lifts her up onto the bed. "So it's your job to stay here and protect Daddy while I go get some medicine. Can you do it?" "Yes!" She says in a serious but excited voice. "Okaaay... I'm counting on you. I'll be right back." Kouichi says in a playful tone as he walks out the door.

Kiyomi turns around to see her dad restlessly trying to sleep. Committed to her mission she says to herself "I will protect Daddy!" as she lays her small hand on his cheek. Caius opens his eyes with a smile and says "Thank you my princess." Caius opens his arms wanting to hold his daughter. He holds Kiyomi near and dear to his heart. Especially since she's the spitting image of Kouichi, besides her right violet eye. And despite his head burning, he's pretty cold. Kiyomi comes closer and allows her dad to hug her, encasing her in his arms. The warmth radiating from her body and knowing that she was safe in his arms put Caius at ease. In a few minutes he was fast asleep again. Kiyomi realizing her dad fell asleep decided it would only be fair for her to fall asleep as well.

"Kiyomi, I'm back!" Kouichi says opening the door but got no response. When he walked closer to the bed and saw the two huddled close, sleeping he couldn't help but smile.

A/n: Just randomly felt like writing this morning. I know I haven't written anything in about a year but I noticed have pretty much nothing written with Kiyomi in it.  This story has been getting quite popular while I've been away.
