"Hey! Malerem!" Kouichi says out of breath while running towards him. "Kouichi, it's so good to see you again." They both hug in joy of seeing each other again. Kouichi takes a seat at the small picnic table and tries some of his drink. "Wow, it's really sweet." "Of course it is, silly. It's very berry tea," Malerem says taking a sip of his own. "Oh, I guess I'm still not used to this world's kind of food," Kouichi says while putting on a fake, embarrassed laugh. "Well, can't experience everything in just 2 years."
"Yea, I guess you're right." "Of course I am. Anyway, how have you been? We haven't seen each other for a few months." "Well, ya know, the usual, been studying, practicing magic, getting used to being a parent-" "Oh! Speaking of, I heard your baby is turning 1 soon." "Yea, she's getting so big," he says with a proud smile. "I would come to help but work just has me so busy and-" "No, it's better that you didn't. I'm not even supposed to be friends with you. If Caius found out we'd be in a lot of trouble." "Kouichi..." "What's wrong?" "I'm sorry.." "Sorry? Sorry for wha-" Suddenly Kouichi's world starts to spin and he speaks a few words "What... did you.. do?" Before finally passing out.
