What're You Doing Here?

They heard someone coming towards them. Kouichi ran behind Caius and Caius prepared to do anything to protect him. Then, they heard a quiet whisper.
"Pstt... hey, hey shrimp." The mysterious figure the reveals themselves from behind the oversized curtain. "Baro? What're you doing here?" Caius asks in a slightly aggravated tone.
"When you couldn't find Shrimp, Doc sent me to go find em. I was looking everywhere unti-" "We'll talk later, we need to get him out of here." Caius says as he turns to face Kouichi.
Kouichi grips his sleeve, "Caius, I feel... dizzy." He faintly says before passing out into Caius' arms.

6 Hours Later

Kouichi woke to find himself in an extravagant room, with what seemed to be a large figure doing something on a wooden desk. Not remembering anyone else, he hoarsely called out the only name he could remember. "Caius..."
The titan stopped what he was doing and swiftly walked over to him. "How are you feeling?" He asks with a low and soothing voice. "My whole body aches and my head feels like it's spinning." Then a resounding pain came into his stomach. He let out a whine in pain while slightly clenching the bed sheets. "What's happened?" "Trash can.." It felt like something was going to come up. As soon as Caius brought the trash can to him, Kouichi emptied his stomach inside of it. The stomach acid burned his throat making the already aching pain feel worse. He kept gagging and dry heaving over and over again. He'd never felt this sick before. It somehow felt worse than Karina's poison. His body started shaking in pain and fear as small tears started to form in the corner of Kouichi's eyes. But Caius quickly wrapped him in his warm embrace, gently stroking his hair and softly spoke sweet nothings in an attempt to calm him down. "It's alright. You'll be okay." "What if I got poisoned again? Why does this stuff keep happening to me?" "Don't worry about that. I promise I'll solve all of this."

Throughout the day Caius did as best he could taking care of his bride while also juggling work and spending time with Kiyomi. But Kouichi's paranoia made it a difficult task. "Kouichi you need to eat." Caius pleads with a bowl of soup in his hand. "I can't, what if it's poisoned too?" Kouichi says hugging himself. "I promise you it isn't. I watched as the chef prepared it." Kouichi still shook his head in rejection. "Well, at least eat some toast. Please, honey?" Kouichi complied and ate one slice of toast, which clearly wasn't enough but Caius was happy he would at least eat something. Kouichi layed his head on Caius' lap and drifted back to sleep. "What am I going to do with you?"
