As joan was putting some finishing touches on her make up, her dad entered the room and announced to her and her mother that it was time and she immediately knew what he meant by that and her heart started racing again, she started saying soothing words to calm herself down while bidding her mom goodbye and following her dad to the church where the marriage would be conducted.
The truth was that she was a bit scared to see damien.
It has been a long time since she saw him and from what she could recall she had always tried to avoid any chances of seeing him, but now there was no chances of her avoiding to see him because she was getting married to him and she would definitely have to be seeing him everyday, there was no way out of it for her.
She was still lost in her thoughts that she didn't realise that they had already reached the church and it was time for her to walk down the aisle with her father by her side.
She connected her hands with her father's own and then together they walked down the aisle towards the altar where the pastor and Damien were already waiting.
Still walking towards the altar, Joan looked up from admiring her beautiful flowers and her eyes met with Damien's face, slowly she studied his features and to say the truth he looked really handsome, with his attire, his posture and everything, even with a mask over his face he still looked breathtaking.
Joan and her dad finally reached the altar and her dad pecked her on the cheeks while going back to sit down besides his wife at the audience section.
Joan and Damien then went to their seats which was specially decorated for them and then the pastor commenced with his sermon.
He talked about marriage and other things which are also related to marriage.
He also said some bible passages which has to do with marriage.
There was a particular verse which the pastor quoted that caught Joan's attention which was that -'Women should always be submissive to their husbands' and it didn't really settle well with her, as she thought of how she has to be submissive to her husband at all times.
Well she just have to abide by it whether she likes it or not as it was part of the duties and obligations of a wife in a marriage.
