Joan groaned as she squinted her eyes open while rubbing them to get rid of the drowsiness in her eyes and to see clearly.
She sat up on the bed while stretching out her hands wondering where she was and then she realized that she was laying down on a bed in a magnificent room that has an amazing scent and smells like Damien and the walls were painted pure white while the cabinets and furniture were ash in colour.
As Joan sat on the bed looking around the room in awe and amazement, she started remembering all that had happened previously and when she remembered the part when her and Damien had kissed, a blush crept to her cheeks and down to her neck and then the blush became deeper when she also remembered how she fell asleep on Damien's chest after crying.
Oh how foolish of her to have cried on her wedding day, but Joan just brushed those thoughts away and proceeded to get down from the bed, but suddenly stopped her movements when she remembered that she fell asleep in the car in her wedding gown but now she woke up lying down on a bed and how was it possible that she didn't feel any kind of discomfort while sleeping in the gown, even right now she still feels very comfortable and she doesn't feel like anything is weighing down on her.
Joan then decided to look down and was surprised to see that she was out of her wedding gown and instead she was wearing an oversized T-shirt and what seemed to look like a man's shorts.
Joan was speechless, she didn't know what to think or say, a part of her mind told her that Damien was the one who changed her but she decided against it and didn't want to give it much thought.
But then again who else was in the house with them apart from her and Damien, maybe her mom? But no she wouldn't do that because they were a newly wedded couple and they would want for them to start bonding and getting to know each other in their new home.
Moreover her mother had already bid them goodbye so there was no way she would have followed them home.
Joan then got down from the bed and headed downstairs to get some food because she felt like her intestines were being squeezed due to the fact that she didn't eat anything before or during her wedding because she was feeling tensed and anxious throughout and the fact that she didn't still eat anything last night added to the amount of hunger that she was feeling right now.
She contemplated heading to the shower first to clean up or just go down to eat first but she decided to head to the shower, she didn't want to be looking all sleepy or smelly on the next day after her wedding, so she went ahead to take a quick bath and brush her teeth.
