{Chapter 26} - Ravishing Beauty

Joan sighed heavily. She had wanted to say sorry to him but then he interrupted her and left just like that.

Earlier on she had thought that he wasn't upset about anything, but right now she wasn't quite sure anymore.

Either way she was still going to try and apologize to him.

She went outside and saw a black SUV packed at the frontage of the house and then she went towards it.

She opened the door and got into the car, she then adjusted herself comfortably and when she was comfortable enough she looked round and saw that Damien was sitting besides her at the back seat and then the driver was seated at the front.

She watched as Damien gestured the driver to start the car to which the driver gave a curt nod and the car started and was set into motion.

She looked outside the window and watched as the sight of the house slowly faded away from her view.

There was absolute silence in the car and from her side view she could see Damien scrolling through his phone.

"Uhm.... Sorry for the delay. I know the date was supposed to be by 3:0'clock but then I overslept and I also wasted some time in my preparation, so...uhm....sorry for making you wait for that long" Joan said to Damien turning towards him.

Damien stopped what he was doing on his phone and dropped it.

Yes it was true that he was actually quite upset but he had kind of expected it anyways.

He already knew that women's preparation usually took longer than men's own so he decided to wait for her, although he wasn't expecting her to take this long in her preparation.

But either way he still decided to wait for her even though he was already quite tired and as it was their first date together, he didn't want anything to ruin it for them.

And then when she came down and stood in front of him, he couldn't stop himself from checking her out.

She looked so beautiful and breathtaking and in that moment all the weariness he felt before flew out the window and he immediately felt better and right there and then he knew that his wait wasn't for waste and was completely worth it.

"There's no need for you to apologize, it wasn't your fault that you overslept and by the way the wait was worth it because you look so beautiful and ravishing right now and there's no way I can stay upset with you when I look at your beautiful face." Damien said looking directly at Joan. He then took Joan's hands in his and placed a kiss on it.

Joan looked down trying to hide her face from Damien while blushing profusely, she felt so shy and speechless right now.

She wasn't expecting this type of reply from Damien. She had thought that he would reply her harshly or scold her but instead he showered her with sweet words.
