After some convincing, we made a pretty solid deal. Going back inside the store, Reki was still looking at the invitation. "Are you going to do it?" I asked, jumping back on the counter. The boy nodded, before I gave him a large smile, "Then I have some information to lay on you. Though... I need all my brother's paperwork..."

"Why don't you stop by my house tonight? That way, you can get your board, and we can discuss about Adam." I nodded sweetly, before saying my goodbyes. The walk was vacant, yet nice. I felt free as I twirled around on the sidewalk, bag of fruit in hand. Going into the hospital, I walked up to Cherry's room to find him in bed, having an argument with Kojiro. Once I walked in, it ceased.

"I got you the good stuff Kaoru. I have peaches... cherries... and strawberries." Kojiro left the room in a huff, leaving the two of us alone. As Kaoru ate away at the washed berries, I started cutting the peach with my pocketknife. Everything was so peaceful, considering the occasional hospital sounds that came to and fro. Grabbing a plastic fork, I jabbed it into a piece, before motioning it toward Kaoru.

"(Y/N), I'm not going to eat it this way. It is too embarrassing." He protested, with a soft flush on his cheeks.

"Come on Kaoru, please~" He eventually gave into my pouting before he happily ate away. I occasionally took some pieces from him, but he mainly ate it. "So, I'm sure you heard about Shadow's replacement." The pink-haired male let out a disappointed sigh before speaking his opinion on the issue.

"Your friend is a fool if he thinks he can go up against Adam."

"Foolishness and courage are two different things; however they go hand-in-hand. I've only raced against Adam once, but I think Reki can handle himself. With a little help of course." I stated, winking in the pink-haired male's direction, cutting into another peach. Before Kaoru could ask, I stuffed a slice of peach in his mouth. "My brother is The Collector. I would be the fool if I didn't pick up a few things on my opponents. My brother has added onto the monster's file. I have a plan. And because I have this plan, Reki isn't going to get hurt. This time... I'm not going to keep it to myself, even if it leads to my own self-destruction." I continued to talk to Kaoru, until the hours were steadily growing later. I left, going to my home first to get Adam's file. I shifted through it, feeling a little reminiscent. I ran up to my room, before grabbing my own stack of notes. Noticing the incoming rain, I grabbed my umbrella, before leaving the house all together.

I walked to Reki's abode. I knocked on the door, umbrella in hand. When the door opened, I was met with a girl that looked a lot like Reki. "Who're you?" She questioned plainly.

"Um... I'm (Y/N) (L/N). I'm a friend of Reki." I introduced, before her eyes went wide. Suddenly she yelled out a quick.

"Mom!! It's finally happening!! Reki has a girlfriend!!!" A red blush appeared on my cheeks, before I was pulled inside the house by said girl. Taking off my shoes, she lead me into what I could only guess was the living room. Before I could correct the girl, she disappeared. I sat down at a table, before two heads peaked out over the wood. 'They're little Rekis...' I cooed. They looked so much like him. 'I guess... having red hair runs in the family.' An old woman walked in before sitting across from me.

"So? You are my grandson's girlfriend?" She questioned gruffly.

"N-No, mam!! I-I'm just... uh... a friend that s-so happens to be a g-girl..." I stammered, motioning my hands around like an idiot. The grandma wasn't even close to being fooled, even though it was the truth.

"Are you pleasant with him?" I nodded, "And do you respect him?" I nodded my head again, before a small smile appeared on her wrinkled features. "Then you have my blessing." The blush expanded to the entirety of my face. The girl that had dragged me into the house in the first place sat next to me.
