We waited outside the emergency room, as I attempted to comfort Langa the best I possibly could. Though I would be lying to say that Langa was the worried one. I held his shoulder in concern as the urge to cry almost overcame my better judgement. The door suddenly opened, before I ran up to whatever individual showed up. I was even happier that it was Reki. He had a cast on his left arm, and I stared at it with great guilt. 'How could I be so stupid?' I questioned myself, 'If I told Reki how to avoid Adam's Love Hug, none of this would have ever happened...'

"I've got two weeks for a full recovery. But there's no brain damage!" Reki joked a little before I blew a miniature fuse.

"You idiot!" I yelled out, before hugging him. I took extra care to not injury his arm any further. I put my head against his chest feeling fear become my very being. The whole time. Bombshell, or anyone else for that matter, didn't mutter a word, "You scared me half to death..." I muttered, finally pulling away.

"Um... (Y/N)! Seriously, I'm fine!" I didn't respond knowing that if I did, I would start to cry again. I didn't care about my mascara, but I just didn't want my friends to see me bawl like a toddler.

"Glad it wasn't anything more. Hope you know you're lucky." Miya stated in his cold fashion.

"I'm so sorry, Miya. I didn't mean to let any of you down." Reki apologized, as I looked back at the red-head. First at his saddened expression, then at his bandaged head, and then his cast. I put on a brave face for the time, but I was trembling. But what from? Anger? Fatigue? Worry? Perhaps it was all three of those things... but I didn't bother to care.

"Oh, I'm not surprised at all. I told you, no slime can beat the final boss. But whatever. At least it's not my fault you looked like a fool out there." Miya huffed, obviously being worried himself. Cat boy stood up and walked a little ways away to tell him he was a fool, however, Langa misinterpreted it.

"What did you say?" Reki queried.

"He said you looked pretty cool out there." Langa rearranged, though I'm sure it was a misunderstanding. Miya walked back over to Langa quickly before getting in the snow boy's face.

"I didn't say anything like that!" Miya hissed.

"Are you sure that's not what you said?" Langa questioned again, as a small smile reappeared on my features, for a brief moment of course.

"I hate to break up a cat fight, but Victory Curls is up against Adam next. Then your boy is following not too far behind her. You've got work to do." I stood there completely unmoving. 'That's right... I still have to race him...' I thought, looking toward the ceiling. 'Am I even prepared to race against someone like that?'

"I'm the worst. I should've never pulled you into this. I'm sorry." Reki stated, as he apologized again. I put a hand on his good shoulder making him look at me.

"Reki. It's fine. Besides..." I gripped his shoulder tighter out of habit. I was scared. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to win, or even survive against someone like Adam. He played dirty just like Bombshell. They are practically two peas in a pod. I thought racing against Shadow was my redemption, but it turned out Adam was the real interpretation of Bombshell. "After what he did to you... I'm not going to let him escape." I removed my grip, before Langa put a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't apologize, Reki. It's not your fault." Langa assured, as Reki looked between the two of us. A broken stare was the only way to describe his expression.

"Are you two sure?" He questioned.

"Of course, right Langa?" I looked over to the blue-haired boy to see him frozen in place. He was completely unmoving. Just an empty husk for the time being. All except his eyes. They held something dangerous in them. Something I was well acquainted with. The urge to win, just for the sake of victory, "Langa?" I questioned again, but I was only met with silence.
