Outlaw (Jay Walker x Reader)

   My dreams that night were, in a word, exciting.

  I dreamed of what would have happened if Lloyd had never stopped me and Jay last night. 

  But right before we got to the best part, we were attacked by a glowing orange Cthulhu. It was weird.

  "Y/n." There was a poke on my face. I wiped my hand down my cheek and rolled over. 

  "Y/n!" Another poke. 

  I bolted upright. "Whaa?" 

  Jay was standing over me, already dressed, smiling his wide smile. "It's time for breakfast." 

  I rolled my eyes as I slowly sat up. "I'll be down in a minute." 

  Once Jay left the room, I stood and a wonderful, mischievous thought came to me. 

  I walked over to Jay's closet. Looking through his clothes I settled on a fluffy blue sweater and a pair of lightning bolt sweatpants. I changed quickly and left Jay's room to go to breakfast. 

  Jay was sitting at the table with his back to me. I walked into the dining room area and sat down across from him. He looked up in the middle of sipping from a glass of orange juice, and choked, spitting juice onto the table before backing up and turning to the side to cough. His cheeks and the tips of his ears were already turning a bright red. 

  "JAY that was disgusting!" Zane.. exclaimed? He didn't yell but certainly raised his voice. 

  "S-sorry," Jay coughed out, standing to grab a towel. "Sorry, Zane." 

  "Zane rolled his eyes and set down a dish full of rice.

  "The two of you-" Cole started, motioning towards Jay and I- "Need to quit making out so loudly."

  I put my head down into my hands.  Jay threw a piece if potato across the table. Then he turned to me.

  "Hey, Y/n, do you want to go to the ground today with me? We're gonna be flying over a really pretty hiking spot."

  "I lifted my head up." Well I wouldn't want to abandon these guys all day, they wouldn't be able to handle it."

  "Ah come on they don't care." Jay was picking at his food with one hand.

  "If you two are going hiking, I want to go with you," Cole said, sticking his tongue out at Jay when he groaned.

  "Me, too," Said Nya.

  "Me, three!" Lloyd piped in.

  "I, as well," Zane called from the kitchen.

  "Really, Zane? You, too? Really?!"

  I giggled. "Well, I guess if you're up to it, we could all go?"

  "I'll go ask Wu," Nya said, getting up and leaving.

  She came back a few minutes later, passing us to go down to the control room.

  "I'll put the anchor down!"

  I stood, putting my plate in the sink to wash later and going to change into hiking clothes.

   Once changed, the seven of us were ready to go down to the ground level.

  "Oh. Right. You haven't done this yet," Lloyd said, "We have to slide down the anchor chain."

  Then he jumped.

  I snickered, leaning over the railing to watch him descend. "REAL HELPFUL, DRAGON BOY," I shouted.

  The man laughed good-naturedly.

  Then I felt someone place their hands on my waist from behind me.

  "Here, let me show you," Kai said.

  I turned around to face him, feeling angered head rise to my cheeks.

  "Uh, no I can show her. You're rusty, anyway," Nya brushed her brothers hand off of my side.

  I sent her a subtle look of gratitude as Kai slid down the anchor chain, closely followed by Jay.

  "So you're gonna want to make sure your sleeves are covering your hands so that you don't pinch your fingers, and just hold on loosely, okay?" I nodded.

  Then I jumped over the railing and slid down the anchor chain, landing harshly in the grass.

  I rubbed the pain out of my feet while I watched Nya follow us down to the ground and Jay helped me up.

  Once everyone was on the ground, we picked a direction and started off.

  Jay and I fell in step behind the rest of the group, and his hand brushed mine a hundred times before I grabbed it and intertwined our fingers.

  We hiked in mostly silence for about a half hour before coming up on a small lake with a short waterfall feeding into it.

  Nya immediately removed her sneakers and socks and ran, jumping into the greenish water.

  I followed, chilling to the bone at the cool temperature, but appreciating the ease it left in my core.

  "You guys feel like hiking back while wet?" Cole asked, sitting down on the edge of the water.

  Nya demonstrated her water abilities, pulling the droplets out of my hair and allowing it to dry instantly.

  "...Oh."

  She snickered, and I beckoned for Jay to jump in with us.

  The man shrugged, removed his shoes and stood, pulling his shirt up and over his head to toss it beside on the grass.

  I turned away, feeling my face burn after making direct eye contact with...him.

  Jay jumped into the water, and I felt my entire body under the water buzz.

  "Jay, stop electrocuting the water!" Nya screamed, running her hands over her arms.

  Jay surfaced. "Sorry, I can't help it! The water's cold!"

  "Learn to help it!"

  I laughed, sending a splash over Jay's way.

   One by one, the rest of our group, minus Kai, decided to join us in the water, and we eventually had a whole water war going on.

  The six of us played and goofed off until we noticed that the sun was beginning to get low on the horizon.

  "We should probably begin to make a return to the ship," Zane spoke up from the grass where he had sat previously to dry off his "parts".
 
  We giggled ferociously at that one.

  On the hike home, Nya walked behind her brother, smacking the back of his head with little beads of water.
 
  "Knee, fucking stop it," Kai grumped.

  "No."

  I laughed at her.

  By the time we got back to the ship, it was dark and the stars were dotting the sky.

  Instead of bothering to climb the anchor chain again, the ninja simply summoned their dragons and flew up.

  I hitched a ride with Jay.

  Are we surprised?

  No.

  Once back on the deck, I was ready to go back inside when a hand rested on my shoulder.

  "Y/n, can I please speak to you?" It was Kai.

  I looked behind me into the ship, making momentary eye contact with Jay. He made a face that asked me if I needed him to butt in, and I waved him off, Turning back to Kai.

  "Make it quick."
