(Y/N POV)

Silco dragged me up the stairs to his office so fast I almost tripped over my feet. He was pissed. I could feel it in his energy and in the way he gripped my hand. I had only had the opportunity of seeing him truly angry a few times. None of which ended well for the person who angered him. I was praying for my life. He opened the door to his office and threw me into the chair across from his. I felt my heart beating so hard I thought it might jump out lf my chest and run away. I settled myself in the chair and watched in fear and anticipation as he paced around the room. "What the hell were you thinking??" I was dead. I gulped and looked down at my hands. "You nearly concussed a coworker in front of some new customers... how stupid can you be??" That's when I decided to fight back. I felt fire rising in my throat as I shot up out of my chair. "I only did I because that fucking idiot of a bartender let a tiny little thief steal the giant crate of Shimmer!! I told you she was an incompetent cunt but you didn't listen to me! She has to be punished for what she did, and I wasn't going to let some rando do it. You should be thanking me!!"

Silco stared at me in shock. I had never had the guts to actually go off on him. If I wasn't dead before, I most certainly was now. However, I stood my ground. I couldn't have him thinking I was weak. He paced for a moment longer before sitting down at his desk and smoothing back his graying hair. I watched his fingers dance through his dark locks before I snapped myself out of my trance. "Sit," he said firmly. I continued to stand. He put his hands out on the desk and looked me in the eye. "Sit," he said again, this time with a tone I didn't quite recognize.

I finally sat down. I crossed my legs and leaned back in the chair with my hands clasped over my knee. I looked him dead in the eye. I could still feel the fury in my chest, but I let it simmer. He opened his mouth to say something but stopped himself. He took a breath and leaned back. "I want you to become a hit man for me." My eyes widened as I tried to understand what he had just said. "A- A what??" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "A hit man. An assassin. A soldier. Whichever term you prefer." I continued to stare at him. He smirked to himself before saying, "Not what you expected, hmm?" I found myself at a loss for words.

"You know, I wouldn't just kill you for a mistake like that..." He said while looking down at the papers on his desk, "You're too important to dispose of." I stared at him again before finally finding words. "Ok," I said. He smiled slightly, "Good. You can start by... taking care of Deirdre... in whatever way pleases you." I smirked to myself, "I'll make sure she pays for her idiocy, sir... would you like her dead or alive?" Silco, for the first time since we'd first met, chuckled. "Whichever you prefer."
