Annabeth POV

"Annabeth!" Sally cried, giving me a hug.

"Hey, Sally. What's up?"

"Nothing, I'm just glad you're here. Percy's in his room. He hasn't been feeling well."

I nodded, motioning for Piper and Jason to come in.

They had offered to come with me because Percy didn't come to school today so they wanted to check on him.

"No!" a voice said. "That's wrong, Jackson! Who still watches Finding Nemo?"

I knew that voice. And the only person who ever called him that name.

"Well, too bad, Castellan. This is my house so we're watching it. Also, I'm sick, so you have to be nice to me."

"Yeah, let's be sick so that we can do whatever we want," Luke said, his voice full of sarcasm.

Jason and I looked at each other in surprise.

Luke and Percy? Together? In the same room?

What was up?

I knocked on the door and was greeted by a weak voice. "Come in."

I pushed the door open to reveal Percy who was lying on his bed, a trash can beside him and Luke who didn't seem to notice us.

His eyes lit up when he saw me. "Hey babe."

"I don't appreciate the new name," Luke grumbled, his voice filled with disgust.

I bit back a laugh.

"Not you," Percy said, rolling his eyes.

Luke glanced at me from the screen. "Oh, hey Annabeth. Piper and Jason, how nice to see you here."

Jason rolled his eyes. "When did you get here?"

"I live here?" Percy asked in confusion.

He pushed himself upright and leaned against the pillows. "What are you guys doing here?"

"Not you," Jason sighed. "Luke."

"I had to drop off cupcakes for Percy from Coach Hedge."

"Aw," Piper sighed. "Hedge is turning soft now!"

Percy rolled his eyes, holding up the cupcake pack that had 2 missing. "Want some?"

I declined but Luke grabbed another one.

"I brought you a smoothie," I said, holding up a drink in my hand.

"Thanks," he said. "You can put it there."

"How was your day?" I asked, sliding onto his bed beside him.

He shrugged. "It's just chemo. It's nothing I can't handle."

"Have you eaten today yet?"

He shook his head. "No, thinking of food makes me want to puke."

"Yeah," Luke said, looking at me. "He threw up twice in my presence already. It was kinda gross."

"Then why are you still here?"

"Sally wanted me to check on him," Luke said, looking at Percy whose eyes were trained on the TV. "She said that he needed someone to cheer him up. Said he looked depressed. And since Sally was always so nice to me, I agreed. I wouldn't have if I knew he was going to be watching Finding Nemo."
