Richard's Pov: ( A/N: OMG, can u believe it?! )

'Alpha. Rouge's have appeared on the western side of our boarders. What should we do with them?' asked Sam, through our mind link.

'Leave two of them for questioning. Kill the rest.' I replied.

'As you wish Alpha.' Then our mind link was cut off.

I know I'm loosing it. I'm going insane, without her by my side. And so is Jared, he's become more ruthless and blood thirsty than before. We want our mate back.

Although people in the pack have gone out of their way to try and cheer me up, I continuously push them away because I know they'll never understand the bond that me and Jem shared. Like the sun and moon, we worked together to create balance, being each other's equal half you could say. But everything came crashing down once she left.

I'm not stable enough to be around the pack members anymore, because I know I'll snap at the slightest thing and possibly hurt one of my own. And I refuse to do that. The only people who seem to not care about my warning, is my beta Sam and Jem's little friend Isaiah.

Isaiah says that he only sees good in me, so he says that gives him no reason to stay away. Everytime I see him, I can't help but admire his ability, because it reminds me so much of Jem. She only saw the good in the rouges that she brought to the pack house.

Currently I was six feet deep in paperwork, in my office, when tiny knocks came upon my door. Immediately pushing my work away, I told them to come in. Seconds later in scurried Isaiah; his choclate brown hair now reaching his shoulders with bright blue eyes just beaming with joy.

"What are you doing, Alpha?" He asked me, climbing on top of one of the chairs infront of my desktop, then proping up his elbows up on my desk. He'd just turned six a week ago, and now believes that he was born to rule the world.

"Paperwork." I replied simply, and a little cold. Thinking he'd get the message to leave me alone. But unfortunately for me, he never did.

"That's boring with a capital B! Why don't you take a break?" He asked, looking me in the eyes.

"No thanks."

"Who said I was taking no for an awnser, Alpha."

Looking deeper in to his eyes, I saw much determination. Obviously he wasn't gonna leave me alone, so I did the only thing I could do. "Fine, you win Isaiah. I'll take a break." Cheers then erupted like a band of fireworks, exploding all at once.

"Now down to business. Alpha, do you like sweets?" He asked me.

"What kinda sweets are we taking about here?" I asked, oddly curious. Isaiah then reached inside his oversized jackets pocket, and pulled out a cupcake protected by a zip-log bag. "A cupcake?"

"Well yah. Today, my teacher let us help her make cupcakes for the class in the school's lunchroom. This is my cupcake I got, but," He said pausing for a minute from the long sentence he'd just said. "I wanted to give it to you. Cause you seemed really down today."

This small act of kindness, really did a number on me. For the first time since Jem left, I actully felt happy, even cracking a smile. "Thanks Isaiah." I said, taking it out of his hands.

"No problem Alpha, I'm just spreading a little joy around." And then he took off towards the door, and closed it behind him as he left. 'Jem, you need to hurry back home. I think you'll be really proud of the little boy that Isaiah's become.' I thought to myself.

After thinking this, in stormed my beta, with his clothes ripped and sweaty. "We've done as you asked Alpha. All that's left is the interrogation." Sam told me.

"That can wait till later." I told him, getting up out of my chair. "Tell everyone who fought to take the rest of the day off, and to switch the guards who are guarding the cells with the rouges."

"Uh, Richard. Are you okay? Do I need to get the pack doctor?" He asked, as if I was sick or something.

"Nah, I'm just in a good mood." I reassured him.

"Are you sure that you didn't bump your head or something?"

"I'm sure. Now go to your mate. I'm sure she wants the father of her child to be at her side." Two days ago, we found out that Nicki was pregnant with twins. And all she wanted to do was cling to Sam's side 24/7.

"Oh my god, I forgot about her. She's gonna be so pissed, I left her for five hours straight."

"Glad that's not my problem."

'It will be our problem soon enough. Don't you want to watch our mate's tummy become round with our pup's?' Jared asked.

'Obviously I do, but I want Jem's approval first. I mean she's the one who's gonna be carrying them for eight months.' I replied truthfully.

'Have it your way.' He breathed out, then cut off our connection.

Once I cut off the connection, I heard knocking on my door and told them to come in. Seconds later in entered Isaiah with a man and a woman talking behind. "These people said they wanted to speak with you Alpha, about some inportant business." Isaiah explained, before leaving the room.

"Just who do you people think you are, coming into Richard's office without his approval?" Sam growled, extending his canines towards the intruders.

"Forgive me, Beta Sam. My name is Veron," The man said, before extending his hand towards the woman. "And this is my partner Fira. We have brought a message from the counsel conserning a certain pack member, that you have in your possession."

"Alright, let's hear you out." I told him.

"It has been brought to the attention of the council, that this certain pack member of yours, has the power to reform the entire werewolf population. That if wanted, they could turn a full-blooded werewolf into a mere human in secounds.

Just imagine what would happen, if they decided to destroy the entire werewolf race, with this witchcraft of theirs.

We'd all be stripped of our titals. We'd be left powerless and vunerable to others of the other races." Fira explained. "This is why the council and the Alpha King, have decided to execute them. To keep our race alive, and not in their hands."

"Just who is this person?" I asked.

"You may know them Alpha Richard. They seem to go by the name, Jem Carter."
