A/N: *comes out from enchanted forest* Yes my people, I am still alive! Thank you all for being so patient with me, and my work. Like seriously, all of you guys have given me nothing but support ever since I put the book on hold. So, here is a chapter dedicated to all who read this. I love you guys!
Ava's Pov:
"Ava what's wrong with her!" Devin yelled, basically screamed in my face.
"I don't know, it just happened!" I yelled back.
"Calm down guys, tell us what happened Ava." Amanda said calmly.
"See we were just training, and then she fell to the ground for no reason. I tried to wake her up but she just stayed like that, and every time you try and touch her she screams out." I explained. Devin then reached out to touch her body, and when he made contact she let out a ear piercing scream. Making all of us cover our ears, to try and block out the awful sound.
After two minutes, she stopped screaming, and her face calmed. In that exact moment me, Devin, and Amanda then knew what was causing this. It was.........
Jem's Pov:
( In Dream )
'Mama? Papa? Jeremiah? Laila? Where are you guys?' I called out, walking down the long dark hallway that seemed endless, in my youth state. It felt like I'd been walking down the same path for hours, cause my feet had begun to hurt. I felt so tired of looking, I just wanted for my family to play with me.
Right when I was going to call it a day, I heard a blood curling scream, making me turn right around. 'Jem!! Help us!!!' Yelled Laila. I took off into that direction, and opened every door there looking for them. Any sign they were there. I needed something to go by! And that's when, I reached my parents room. And there, inside the room, were three courpes. Although they were turned over, I could clearly see who they were.
'L-Laila? J-J-Jeremiah? D-D-Daddy?,' I called out, walking closer to them. 'P-Please tell me your o-okay. Please, I-I can't l-lose you guys.'
'J-Jem.' Said a quiet voice, making me turn towards their bed. And there laying, was my mother bleeding from her stomach. I ran towards her, and grabbed hold of her shaking hand that was reaching for me. 'R-Run a-a-away.'
'B-But I can't leave you.' I said, as newly formed tears streamed down my face.
'L-Listen to me darling. Y-You ha-have t-to g-.' Then right before she could finish, her eyes seemed to blank out and her hands slipped from mine.
'Momma!' I screamed, at the top of my lungs.
Then all of the sudden, the world around me seemed to fade to white. And I awoke.
( End of Dream )
"You mother f*cking bastard!" I heard Ava yell. "What your doing isn't part of her training! Your out of line! How could you?!"
"Would you shut your trap already? I'm getting tired of your bitchiness." Laton replied, with an annoyed tone.
"Why don't you come closer, bastard. And let me show you, what this bitch can do." She told him, with force behind her voice.
'Jem. You need to wake up, and stop them. If Ava starts fighting, all hell will break loose. Litterly.' I heard Silver, say in the back of my head.
'I'm trying Silver.' I told her, attempting to open my eyes. But they were tightly clamped shut.
'You can do it Jem.' And then our connection shut off.
"Laton just do it! Your making this a more problem than it had to be." I heard Devin say, joining the argument.
"Everyone...please...stop fighting...." Amanda said, with her voice comming out more like a whimper. And in that moment, I gathered the strength to open up my eyes. When open, I saw that I was in the Library. When I got a good look at the scene in front of me, my hand shot over my mouth.
Ava's chocolate brown hair, had now turned into a fiery red color that resembled flames, and her eyes shifted into an amber color. Her hands were clenched, her teeth barred out, and the stance that she was in showed warning. The warning was clearly givin off as a, 'Don't test me' to Laton.
Devin and Amanda, were up against a corner in the room. Devin had wrapped him arms around Amanda, shielding her from any danger. And although she seemed safe, her expression showed nothing but fright. Devin's on the other hand, was an angered expression.
Laton was the only one who seemed normal in this moment. His face showed no emotion at all, and didn't seem to be interested in what was happening.
"I'll ask once more Laton," Ava said with an authorative voice. "Take away whatever curse you've put on Jem."
"We both know that you can't make me, Avie." He told her.
"Stop this right now, all of you!!" I shouted, with my ultimate command, making everyone stop and stare at me. In a split second, Ava shifted from whatever form she was in, and ran over to me. Embracing me with a tight hug.
"Welcome back Jem, I'm glad you pulled through." She whispered to me, as she gently pulled away.
"And I'm honestly glad to be back." I told her.
Laton's Pov:
And to think it was just getting interesting. Too bad Jem had to wake up so early from, the nightmare I gave her.
I thought the curse would last at least two weeks. I guess the girl's more than what she appears to be. But, if Jem thinks that was the only trick up my sleeve, then she's a more fool than Ava herself.
