When Clarke had arrived just outside of the dinning room she located Octavia and the others quickly. They had been waiting at the door for her and she was grateful Octavia had gotten them all to come with her.
"Thank you for doing this." Clarke said quickly, giving them all a grateful nod.
"I guess sometimes we have to do weird shit to survive." Murphy shrugged, walking into the dining room.
Clarke and the others watched him for a moment before following after him. Octavia was the first to spot Lincoln at the far end of the massive dinning table. She tapped Clarke on the shoulder and gestured towards him and the two headed over towards the kind ambassador.
"Clarke, Octavia, so good to see you." Lincoln greeted the two, bowing his head slightly. "I see you've brought more friends. I would love to meet them all."
"Of course." Clarke smiled, now starting to get used to this part she was playing as the Skai crew captain. She was surprisingly a rather convincing actress. Clarke motioned for the others to come over and introduce themselves and to her surprise Octavia facilitated without any instruction.
"Lincoln meet Bellamy, our head guard. He's also my brother. This is Jasper he's our head of communications and Monty our tech guy. That girl over there is Raven, she's our head mechanic and engineer and this is Murphy. He doesn't really do much but we bring him around with us anyway."
"I'm actually in charge of our supplies and resources but thank you Octavia." Murphy added annoyed.
"It's a pleasure to officially meet you all." Lincoln exclaimed. "The council has spoken very highly of your crew. You Skai Crew members really quite a big group and I am very much impressed that your team is able to control so much. You have my respect."
Clarke nodded her head. "Thank you Lincoln that truly means a lot."
"Please, have a seat everyone. Anya will be here any minute to start the festivities."
The group all took seats around the massive table close to Lincoln, sitting Clarke down at the head of the table, directly opposite an empty chair Clarke had suspected was reserved for Anya.
Glancing around the table Clarke saw a diverse group of other ambassadors and royals dressed in uniforms similar to Lincoln's. There was one person though who did not match the general themes of all of the others. They appeared to be fairly young, maybe close in age to Clarke. They were sat on the opposite end of the table and they were dressed in dark robes that covered most of their body and head, only a small part of their face visible revealing only their mouth. Their hands were wrapped in white cloth, a strong contradiction to the rest of their dark outfit but a welcome splash of light to the eyes.
Clarke found herself very intrigued. The most curious part about the mysterious figure was the fact that they didn't seem to want to be there. They were slouched over in a position that if Clarke didn't know any better may have suggested they were sleeping. Compared to the formality in which every other person at the table was putting on display, they themselves were a strong opposite; something that in Clarke's mind was a delightful welcome.
"Hey." A girl sitting next to the hooded figure spoke, elbowing them in the side. "Wake up lazy ass we have guests."
Clarke heard the hooded figure let out an annoyed groan and watched their head fall back down onto the table making a large clunk sound.
"I apologize." Lincoln frowned. My cousin isn't really a fan of formal settings. Table manners could definitely use some work.
Clarke didn't mind though. In her eyes this casual and relaxed behavior was something she actually envied. Growing up in the Alpha station as the daughter of a Senator, Clarke was rarely offered the Luxury of informality. To see someone so uncaring in such a nice setting surrounded by such important figures was actually very interesting to Clarke and she was about to ask Lincoln more about his cousin before almost everyone at the table suddenly rose from their seats as a powerful looking woman entered the room.
