FRED'S POV
New York, July 19, 1985
I was pushed against the wall as Andy held me up. My legs wrapped around his hips as he placed soft kisses on my neck.
"No, Andy. Jeff will be here any minute now."
Andy muttered something underneath his breath, making me laugh.
"I know, I know, but it's Friday. We got band practice today."
Jeff joined the band about three weeks ago, and it's been going great.
"Dammit."
There was a knock on the door.
"After?"
"After."
I said before giving Andy a soft kiss.
He gently set me down on the ground.
I walked over to the front door to open the door for Jeff.
"Hey, Jeff."
"Hey, kid. How's it going?"
Jeff was slightly older than us, and when I met Jeff, there was that brotherly feeling between us, Fred and me. I don't know what it is, but it's just there.
Andy was a bit jealous of the closeness Jeff and I had. Maybe it's nothing. Jeff doesn't know about Andy and me. He thinks that we are just friends from school, that's it.
"Doing alright? Come on in."
"Thanks."
He walked in with his guitar.
"Hey, Andy."
Jeff said as he extended his hand to shake Andy's.
"Hey."
Andy said as he stared at Jeff, not bothering to take his hand.
I cleared my throat as I closed the door.
"So, should we head over to the garage?"
"Yeah, let's go."
Andy said with a bit of some tone in his voice.
I walked past Jeff and Andy, making my way to the back door connected to the garage.
"So, should we start where we left off last time?"
I asked, trying to lighten up the situation.
We were all working on some songs, trying to write them.
"Yeah, sounds good."
Jeff and I sat down at the table.
"Ok, so what song did we leave off on?"
"Um, let's see."
I said as I opened my journal, flipping through the songs I've written either independently or with one of my bands.
There were a few love songs, some songs about just having a good time, and some songs about pointing out errors in society.
"Oh, before we begin, I came up with this cool riff. I wanted to show you guys. Maybe we could turn it into a song or something."
"Yeah, go ahead, Jeff."
"Yeah, Jeff."
Andy said mockingly.
"Andy, can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Sure."
"You go ahead and set up. We'll be back."
