FRED'S POV:

New York, September 20, 1985

He kissed me.

He kissed me!

Eric kissed me!

Well not exactly, but still!

That is all I have been thinking about for the past few days

Eric has just been a constant in my mind. I just can't seem to get him out of my mind.

I felt as if I was falling head over heels for Eric. But. Is it too early? We don't know each other very well.

Is this me falling in love or is this me having a big crush on someone?

I don't know, but I know that I've never been happier.

I always feel as if I have a smile on my face. I just can't help it.

Even in the mornings, I've just been waking up happy and full of energy recently. And that says a lot because I am not a morning person. At all.

"Fred. breakfast!"

My mom yelled from the kitchen.

"Coming!"

I yelled as I was in my room getting ready for the day.

I pulled my belt through the belt hoops of my jeans, adjusting it a bit.

When I was done, I looked at myself in the mirror.

I shook out my curls a bit before making sure I looked good.

Eric said he was going to pick me up after school is over.

I'm kind of nervous about what could happen, but I'm also excited.

I already know that I'm going to have a lot of trouble concentrating in classes today, but oh well.

When I went down to the kitchen, I saw my mom start to take her seat.

(A/N: I have heard that Fred was born into a Labanese family. I'm not entirely sure if he was a first gen or not, so we are just going to pretend that he is and pretend that they are speaking in their native language which I believe is Arabic.)

"Morning, Mom."

I said as I leaned down, pecking her cheek before I sat down across from her.

"Morning."

She said.

"Someone is in a happy mood today."

She added.

"Me?"

"Mhm. Some boy?"

I could feel some heat going up into my cheeks at the tough of Eric.

She gasped.

"It is a boy. What's his name?"

"Eric."

"And when can I meet this, Eric?"

"Mom."

"What?"

My mom was my best friend and honestly, it didn't bother me when she acted like it too.

"I don't know. He's in the new band I've been telling you about."

"Oh be careful. A relationship in the same band can bring issues to that band. You wouldn't want the band to fall apart if you two decide to break up, would you?"
