ERIC'S POV:

January 7, 1988, Philadelphia

Two weeks after we found out, we confirmed that Fred is indeed pregnant.

By the time we got it confirmed, Fred was 7 weeks along, currently, he is almost 10 weeks pregnant, we have a pretty long break before going back on tour next month.

A lot of time to adjust to this new change.

Time to adjust to the fact that, I'm going to be a dad.

Very soon.

I had all of these mixed emotions in me during those two weeks.

I was scared and happy to know that I would be a father.

I'm not sure what kind of father I will be, but I know for sure that I will not be like my father.

I've decided that I'm going to work and try to learn good parenting styles and skills during the time we have left before our little bean arrives.

We've nicknamed our baby, bean or little bean, calling the baby, 'it' just didn't seem right.

It seems as if I have fallen in love more with Fred, now that I know he's carrying my kid, seeing him talk to his stomach is really cute.

God, I love him.

I was out buying some food for me and Fred, especially for Fred and his cravings.

He hasn't had any of those weird cravings, yet.

Currently, it was just random stuff.

Yesterday morning, he was craving ice cream for breakfast.

I mean, I support it, but I don't know, I guess it's a bit weird but whatever makes him happy, I guess.

I was currently over at my Aunt Lucy's house.

She invited me over, she has been making our food ever since we told her. She claims it's for the baby, but I think she knows it's mainly for us since it's a bit tough for us to adjust to this drastic change.

So here I was picking up what would be our dinner. I guess I got a bit distracted and just sat down and talked with Aunt Lucy.

She's that kind of person, she will either convince you or make you sit down.

"And how's the baby treating Fred?"

"Barely letting Fred get any sleep."

"Getting up to pee a lot?"

"Mhm. I feel bad for him."

"Yeah, I remember that feeling before..."

Aunt Lucy and Uncle Luke struggled to have kids. As far as I know, Aunt Lucy miscarried 6 times before they gave up. They don't have kids at all.

"Yeah, I know Aunt Lucy. But you took me in, so technically I'm your kid. And our baby is going to be your grandchild."

"Thank you, sweetie."

She sighed.

"I wish your mother could be more supportive of the person you are and be here to see the man you've become."

She said as she gently caressed my cheek.

"Sometimes I wish for that too, and I know my mom is your sister, but truthfully, I think it's for the best."

I said.

She gave me a soft smile.

Suddenly, my beeper started going crazy.
