"Huh." Elliot muttered, she was about to speak when Gale beat her to it. "So now that we're dead, what are we gonna do?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Peeta questioned, "The next move is to kill me." Elliot didn't say anything, she sighed in her spot next to the boy.
"I murdered one of our squad members."
"No. that was Snow, Snow murdered him." Elliot interrupted.
"Katniss was right." Peeta looked to the brunette next to him. "I'm a mutt. And it's only a matter of time before I snap again." Peeta looked to Katniss, "I'm not in control. I need a nightlock pill. So I can die when I need to."
A small tear falls down Peeta's cheek, "if it gets to that point I'll kill you myself." Gale spoke.
Elliot stood and walked away from the group and up the spiral stairs that were in the corner, she saw an open room much like the one downstairs and there were a few doors. She went through the one to her left, she saw an extravagant bathroom with marble tiles and over the top abstract paintings. She walked to the mirror and looked at herself, she had gotten sleep but not enough to make the dark circles go away completely, her shoulders were slumped, her hair in a messy ponytail on top of her head. She grabbed the hem of the bullet proof vest and raised it over her head and recklessly tossed it onto the ground, it landed on the marble with a small thud. She looked at the mirror once more but her eyes didn't make it to her face. They got stuck on the right side of the mirror, that's when she noticed it stuck out against the wall. She brought her hand to the right side and her fingers curled around a small handle and she pulled. The mirror swung to the side, revealing a few shelves filled with bottles of clear liquids, some had a light blue tint to it or maybe purple, she saw pill bottles and syringes. Her finger grazed over the syringe from the handle to the small point that would be injected into the skin. She moved her hand to a small bottle with a transparent green, thick liquid that had smaller, darker dots floating in it. She knew what this is without having to read the black and white label. Tracker Jacker venom. Her hand wrapped around the small vial and her other curved around the syringe, hse hastily screwed open the vial and dippe the syringe into it, the temptation overpowering her, the mutt in her. She had the venom in the syringe and was about to inject it into her arm when another hand slapped it out of Elliot's hand. The girl looked up and through the mirror seeing Katniss and then looked at the syringe that had flown across the room.
Katniss looked at her in shock, she looked at Elliot's eyes as they grew darker. Elliot quickly moved across the room trying to get to the syringe but Katniss was quicker, grabbing Elliot around her torso and pulling her back so that the two girls knocked into the wall across from the venom. The abstract painting fell and left a large thud alerting the group that something was happening.
Down the stairs Gale quickly stood up hearing the ruckus. He hastily made his way up the stairs hearing Katniss speaking loudly over the loud shuffling, "Stop, stop. You're better than this." When Gale swiftly opened the door his eyes were set on Katniss trying to get Elliot away from a green syringe. Elliot elbowed Katniss making her groan in pain and retract her hands to hold her stomach, Elliot quickly shuffled over to the syringe, if she was in her right state of mind she would've thought she looked pathetic, but she wasn't. She was desperate for something she didn't know she could be desperate for. Once she got ahold of the needle and was ready to inject it into her skin she felt two strong arms wrap around her roughly shoved her against the bathtub.
