Currently it is the middle of the night, and Kara is fast asleep in her bed, having gone to sleep a few minutes after she ended her call with Eliza. However, right now, Kara is woken by the sound of a heartbeat going really fast.

Kara quickly opens her eyes, and brushes the sleep from her eyes, before then trying to figure out where the heartbeat is coming from. A few moments later, Kara realises that the heartbeat is coming from the room next to hers, meaning that it's Lori's.

Kara gets out of bed, and then leaves her bedroom, walking down the hallway to Lori's bedroom door. Kara knocks lightly on Lori's bedroom door, before then opening it.

"Lori?" Kara says, softly.

Kara walks into the bedroom, and that is when she sees Lori moving on the bed, frantically, moaning slightly, however, the young girl is still asleep. Kara knows this means Lori is having a nightmare.

"Lori." Kara says, now with more worry in her voice, quickly moving over to sit next to the sleeping girl on the bed.

Lori continues to moan in her sleep, clearly being very distress with her nightmare. Kara's heart breaks seeing this.

"Lori..." Kara says, softly, placing a hand on the young girl's arm, trying to wake her.

"Daddy..." Lori cries in her sleep.

Kara now is alarmed at Lori saying that. Kara now knows, not only from Lena, but from the files she had to sign, along with the information about Lori that was given to her, that Lori was actually there when her father was shot and killed by a gang member, and even though she was only 4-years-old, the incident very likely affected her.

"Lori, wake up. It's just a dream." Kara says, now slightly rocking Lori.

A few moments later, Lori opens her eyes, and then looks at Kara, with an alarmed look on her face, before then bursting into tears.

"Oh, Lori. Come here." Kara says, pulling the young girl in for a hug.

Lori simply cries into Kara's chest.

"It's okay, Lori. It was just a dream. I'm here. It's okay." Kara says, soothingly.

"It was horrible..." Lori says, after a few moments of crying, "There was so much blood.... and he was cold.... I thought he was just playing...."

Kara's heart breaks even more now, as the blonde knows that Lori's dream sounds like it was a replay of what actually happened when Lori found her father shot, and dead.

"I know. But it's okay. Nothing like that is going to happen again. I've got you now. It's okay." Kara says, not having any other words to actually say right now.

Lori simply continues to softly cry into Kara's chest for the next 5 minutes, until she eventually cries herself out. After that, Kara decides to pick Lori up in her arms, and then lead her out of her bedroom.

"Where are we going?" Lori asks, confused, all while she rests her head on one of Kara's shoulders.

"You shouldn't sleep alone after that nightmare. So, I was thinking you could come sleep with me, in my bed. If that's okay?" Kara suggests.

Lori simply nods her head, not replying verbally.

Kara carries Lori into her bedroom, and places the young girl down on the bed, before then getting under the covers with her.

"Come here." Kara says, telling Lori to move closer to her, if she wants.

Lori doesn't need to be told twice, and quickly moves all the way over to Kara, pressing the front of her body into Kara's side, resting her head on her new foster mom's chest.
