Kara now watches, in shock, as Cat Grant, her former boss, who Kara has not seen in person for multiple years, now makes her way to the front of the court room, ready to testify on her behalf. Kara had absolutely no idea that this was going to happen, or that Cat was going to be here. Kara hasn't even spoken to Cat since she began fostering Lori or anything, so Kara has no idea how Cat could have found out about this or anything.

"How..... how is Miss Grant here?" Kara asks Mark, in a whisper.

"When we were working on your defence, as you know, we realised that Miss Luthor wouldn't be the best person to go on the stand on your behalf, because of how the opposing side would attack her. However, Miss Luthor then suggested that perhaps another former CEO, and respected business woman, could testify on your behalf, and that is when she brought up Miss Grant." Mark explains.

"But.... but how is she here? She doesn't even know about Lori." Kara says.

"Miss Luthor reached out to her, and told her about your situation and everything. According to Miss Luthor, Miss Grant was more than willing to testify on your behalf. However, the only problem was that we weren't sure that she would get here in time, for today, because she had some prior engagements the other side of the world. That is why we thought it was for the best not to tell you about Miss Grant potentially being here. We didn't want to make you feel bad if she wasn't able to make it in time." Mark says.

"I...... I don't know what to say." Kara says.

"You don't have to say anything." Mark replies, "From what I know of Cat Grant, she certainly knows how to work a crowd, and more importantly, work a judge. I think she is going to be amazing to our case."

"I..... I..... thank you for this." Kara says, lost for words right now.

"You don't have to thank us at all." Mark says back, "We are your lawyers, are job is to make sure that we put forward the best possible people to make you look as good as possible in the judge's eyes, and Cat Grant certainly fits that bill. Who you should really thank, is probably Miss Luthor, and Miss Grant herself."

"Oh, I will certainly be doing all that when this is over." Kara says, as she turns around and glances at Lena, who just offers her a wide smile in return.

Kara then watches as Cat Grant is sworn in, before taking her seat on the stand, next to the judge. Once she does this, Mark stands up, and walks over to Miss Grant.

"Hello, Miss Grant. And thank you for being here today." Mark says.

"My pleasure. But you may call me Cat." Cat says, with a polite smile.

"Cat." Mark nods, with his own smile, "Could you please tell the court how you know Miss Danvers?"

In this moment, just as Cat is about to speak, a big fear pops into Kara's head. A fear that Cat Grant is about to call her Keira, in front of everyone. Kara knows that would be absolutely horrible.

"I first met KARA." Cat says, with a smirk, as she looks directly at Kara, almost as if she knew what Kara was thinking, "around 7 years ago. She applied for the position as my personally assistant, having graduated from college a few years prior to that."

"And what was it about Miss Danvers that you liked to give her the job as your personal assistant? As I know for a lot of people, hiring a personal assistant is a very, intimate process, as there has to be some trust there." Mark says.

"Objection! Leading the witness!" Stephen Andrews' main lawyer says.

"Overalled." Judge Burgess says, "Nothing council said was of a leading nature. He simply was clarifying the details of a personal assistant."
