After what feels like an incredibly long day, and certainly an emotionally exhausting one, Kara returns home to her apartment, along with Lena, with Eliza having decided to stay at Alex and Kelly's apartment this evening, so she gets a chance to spend some time with her other granddaughter, Esme. Eliza also knows that this will just give Kara, Lena and Lori a chance to be together, as a family, which is something that Eliza thinks that Kara needs right now, after all she has been through today.

Once Kara and Lena return back to Kara and Lori's apartment, the couple just sit on Kara's couch, with Kara curling up under a blanket, drinking some coffee, and watching a movie, as Lena sat next to her, on her laptop, just catching up on some work that she'd missed today. The couple didn't really say anything to one another during this period though, and it wasn't an awkward silence or anything. Lena just knew that Kara needed time to simply digest everything, and go through all of her emotions, before they then pick Lori up from school.

Another hour soon went past, and Kara and Lena left the apartment once more, and drove to Lori's school, this time in one of Lena's cars, which she had dropped off in front of Kara's apartment by one of the people who works for her. So, right now, Kara and Lena are just standing outside Lori's school, and waiting for the 7-year-old to come out, so they can all head home together. Kara, for her part, just really wants to hug Lori tightly right now, and she thinks that might be the best medicine for her, for how she is feeling, because of this trial and everything.

A few more minutes go by, and soon, Lena and Kara see Lori walking out of her school, and growing a big smile on her face as she sees them. The 7-year-old then proceeds to briskly walk towards Kara and Lena, and takes Kara in for a hug right away.

"Hello, mommy." Lori says.

"Hello, baby." Kara says, as she hugs her daughter tightly.

Kara and Lori continue to hug for the next few moments, for a longer amount of time than usual. Kara just really does not want to let go right now. However, eventually Kara does feel Lori pull away, so she ends the hug with her daughter, who proceeds to hug Lena next.

"Hello, darling." Lena smiles.

"Hey, Lena." Lori smiles back, as she hugs the brunette.

"Did you have a good day at school?" Lena asks.

"Yeah." Lori nods.

"That's good." Lena nods, looking at Kara, and noticing that her girlfriend is struggling to talk right now, "Come on. Let's head home."

"Okay." Lori smiles happily.

Lori then takes both Lena and Kara's hands, and the trio walk to Lena's car, and soon get inside, with the CEO eventually starting up the car, and driving them in the direction of Kara's apartment.

Soon the trio return home, and for the rest of that evening, Kara remains very snuggly with Lori, not really wanting to leave her side much, and spending a lot of time sitting on the couch with her daughter, watching a movie, as Lena does some work by the side. Eventually though, they do all have to go to bed, and once more, Kara spends a long time putting Lori to bed, before leaving the bedroom, and getting into bed with Lena in the other room. After this, the couple didn't really say anything to one another, just a few words, and some brief goodnights, before snuggling up with each other, and falling asleep.

A few hours later, Lena has to get up to go to the bathroom, however, as she does, she notices that Kara is no longer in the bed with her. So, after Lena does her business in the bathroom, she heads out of the bedroom and has a walk around the apartment. Lena knows that one possibility is that Kara was called away on some midnight Supergirl duties or something. However, the far more likely scenario, in Lena's mind, is confirmed when she goes to check on Lori, in the 7-year-old's bedroom. Sometime, over the last few hours, Kara just got out of bed with Lena, and made her way into Lori's room, and is now snuggled up with her, in blissful sleep.
