[EXT. CANAL STREET - DAY]
[Uniforms and CSUs work through Oni's stall. Lance and Keith look at the shredded Chanel purses.]
KEITH
The linings have all been cut out. All of this stuff is imported, right?
PIDGE
Yeah.
KEITH
You know, knockoffs would be the perfect delivery system for a smuggler.
HUNK
Yeah, but what're they smuggling?
KEITH
The only person who can tell us that has been marked for death.
PIDGE
If he is still alive, he doesn't have much incentive to stick around.
[Keith sees Lance waving his hand around in the air]
KEITH
Lance?
[Lance wanders away.]
HUNK
Where's he going?
KEITH
Notify Passport Control. Get them a sketch of Oni, and tell them to put his name and aliases on the No Fly List.
PIDGE
You got it, boss.
[As Lance crosses into the street, he waves his hands. Keith follows, thrown by Lance's odd behavior.]
KEITH
Lance? Lance!
[Lance heads to a store across the way: O&H Discount Electronics. In the window, a large, flat-screen TV. Lance waves again. Angle on the TV: We see Lance waving to himself.]
LANCE
I'm on TV.
KEITH
Are you having a breakdown?
LANCE
Not a breakdown. A breakthrough. And I really am ruggedly handsome, aren't I?
KEITH
I'm waiting for the breakthrough.
[He points at the television.]
LANCE
Look behind me. If that camera's recording...
KEITH
Then we'd be able to see who trashed the stall.
[Keith and Lance enter O&H Discount Electronics, a small storefront crammed with audio and visual equipment. Keith and Lance talk to the store manager, 30s, as forthcoming and friendly as a used car salesman.]
STORE MANAGER
What can I say? People like to see themselves on television. I mean, you would not believe the things people do in front of a camera.
LANCE
I'm listening.
STORE MANAGER
Like this one chick, she's standing there, right in front of the store, and she starts to take off her, uh--
KEITH
Just show us the recordings from the past couple of days. Okay?
