[PRECINCT - DAY]
Lance watches Creason pace the interrogation room. Creason gags on the coffee.

LANCE
I feel you, Man.

KEITH (on cell)
Yeah, okay.

[Keith hangs up and Lance follows him back to his desk]

KEITH (CONT'D)
He didn't arrive at the club until after midnight.

LANCE
So what do we do now? Wait for his lawyer to show up?

KEITH
Actually, we follow other leads. It's something that we call "working."

LANCE
Other leads! Good. Since we both know he didn't do it.

KEITH

Creason? What makes you think he didn't do it?

LANCE

Isn't it obvious? All the evidence points to him.

KEITH

And that somehow makes him not guilty?

LANCE

He's totally the red herring.

KEITH

The red herring?

LANCE

An innocent character who appears guilty.

KEITH

I know what a red herring is, Lance. It's a literary device used in literature. In real life, we don't dismiss a suspect just because he appears too guilty. Besides, I thought you wanted to arrest him.

LANCE

Yeah, because he's a tool, not because he's guilty. The guy's a multimillionaire. He's not gonna be dumb enough to wrap a dead body up in his own rug.

KEITH

It doesn't matter. Those rugs were custom-made for Creason's hotel, so we know he's connected. Hey, Pidge!

PIDGE

Yeah.

KEITH

See what you can find on that rug. If one went missing, what room it's from, and maybe who had access.

PIDGE

Yeah.

KEITH

Thanks.

PIDGE (to Hunk)

Road trip.

LANCE

You're very good at bossing men around. I've noticed.

[PRECINCT, INTERROGATION - DAY]

KEITH

You're telling me that it's just a coincidence that a man whose murder you celebrated by drinking champagne was found wrapped in a rug from your hotel?

ATTORNEY

There are identical rugs in every room of the Axium. You can't expect my client to be responsible for their whereabouts.

KEITH

Sure I can, until a jury tells me otherwise.

CREASON

Ah. You are wasting my time. Detective, look, I told you exactly what I was doing last night.

KEITH

Right. You were at the club. They said that you made quite the entrance. Supermodel in each arm.
