ACT SIX

[INT. PRECINCT, BULLPEN - NIGHT]

Pidge, carrying a rap sheet, crosses from their desk to Lance (still in his tux) and Hunk.

PIDGE

Yo, B & E, firearms. Definitely a step up for this guy.

[Keith enters behind them. He's changed back into his street clothes, washed off his party make-up and has tried to comb out his hairdo.]

KEITH

He's just a foot soldier. We're looking for his general.

LANCE

What happened to the dress?

KEITH

You didn't think I was going to interrogate him in it, did you?

LANCE

We were kind of hoping.

[Hunk nods and Pidge looks him over. Keith rolls his eyes]

KEITH

Out of my chair, Lance

LANCE

Yes.

[INT. PRECINCT, INTERROGATION - LATER]

Keith interrogates Paul Reynolds. The police sketch on the table between them.

KEITH

So you know him?

PAUL

We met in Green Haven Prison. A guy like me? You know they would've eaten me alive in there. But he looked out for me in the yard. They-- they were all afraid of him. Even the guards. And when he got out, he found me. I don't know how.

KEITH

So it was his idea to infiltrate the charity?

PAUL

I was already seeing Rachel at the time. I mean, I was trying to go straight. But he said that I owed him.

KEITH

And so you just fed him all the top donors.

PAUL

Everything he needed was already in their dossiers: names, addresses. I took photographs of all their jewelry and put it all on a flash drive. But he wanted more and more. Detective, after he beat that guy

to death, I told him I wanted out, but he said that if I quit, that he'd do everything he saved me from in prison. He'd do it to me and Rachel.

KEITH

Then tell me where I can find him.

[EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAWN]

Unmarkeds screech to a halt in front of the building. Pidge and Hunk exit their vehicle.

[INT. KEITH'S UNMARKED]

KEITH

Lance, as a friend, I am asking you not to leave this car. Because your little Hardy Boy act--

LANCE

-is gonna get me killed, I know.

KEITH

More like get one of them killed. And I can't have that on my conscience. Understood?

LANCE

What if I have to pee?

[Keith hands him an empty paper cup that was left on the dashboard and leaves.]
