"After telling Nisadh-raj Guha to serve Bharat when he becomes king and bidding his goodbyes, Shri Ram, Janki and Laxman crossed the river Yamuna. The gravels of the path piercing their feet, the sun over their heads and the hot winds sucking their energy away." Krishna said.

"The games of destiny." Yudhishthir sighed.

------

Shri Ram walked ahead holding the hand of Janki while they walked on a rocky path with Laxman following them behind.

No one can understand this leela, sons of a chakravarti Samrat, are wandering in the palace with the daughter of a King and wife of a crown-prince.

"Aah !" Janki winced as she stepped on a sharp rock.

Shri Ram turned to look at her whose face which was supposed to have a playful look as always, it had expressions of pain and tiredness.

"I shall bring the water." Laxman said leaving hurriedly.

"Sit down Sitey." Shri Ram said.

She obeyed as he knelt down holding her feet in his hands, removing the sharp gravel from her feet. The feet who stayed over lotus, had walked over hard ground. The feet who used to be decorated with red alta were red with blood and bruises.

All this pierced the heart of Shri Ram, as he emotionally looked at Janki. She could see his eyes moistening.

"You shouldn't have accompanied me." He said looking at her feet.

"Prabhu, I am wife of a true Kshatriya. If I will back away from such wounds, won't it be ironic ? And this is nothing compared to the other wounds I have had." Janki assured.

"You've had other wounds as well ?" Shri Ram asked more worried.

"In childhood ! I was very playful. Ny parents couldn't make me sit at one place." Janki chuckled trying to ease him.

He looked at her still worried but Janki gave him a smile. By then Laxman came with the end of his shoulder cloth dripping in water.

"There was nothing to carry the water. So I drenched my cloth." He said.

Laxman knelt beside Shri Ram, and squeezed his cloth over Janki's feet causing the water to fall over them. Janki sighed in relief as the water soothed her wounds.

Shri Ram tore a piece of his cloth and tied it around the wounds of her feet.

"Does it still hurt Bhabhishree ?" Laxman asked.

"Not even a bit, Laxman Bhaiya. It was taken care by Raghunath." Janki smiled standing up.

"Sitey, if you want we can rest till your wounds get better." Shri Ram said.

"My wounds are better than ever, nath. We have to travel great distance, come." Janki said offering her hand to him.

Seeing her enthusiasm and determination, Shri Ram smiled and held her hand as the three again started their jouney.
