Chapter 39: Shopping

Kate's pov:
I was currently sitting in Becca's room, Becca and Drake searching her closet for a perfect outfit for my date. I don't understand why these two were more excited than me... Josh had said to wear nice yet comfortable clothes, why can't I just wear my soft green hoodie and black sweats?? I bet Josh won't mind but these two friends of mine pulled me to Becca's room the moment I told them about the date. Yeah, I know I told them myself so I can't complain but I didn't know Becca would be female Drake.
"You really have no idea, Kate?"
"He didn't tell me... he said it's surprise."
"Why does it need to be a surprise? Can't he just tell where he's taking you? It'd have been easier to pick the perfect outfit," Bec complained as she threw clothes out her closet.
"Guys... you don't need to make this mess; I don't think he'd mind my hoodie."
"Oh, he wouldn't but we do mind it. It's your first date with him babe, you need to shine," Drake said as he came and sat beside me.
"Yeah... and that too with me here! I've never had a friend go out on dates before. I mean those who'd tell me about it. I've been so nervous about it already... why don't we go shopping and get her something nice?" Bec asked as she sat on my other side.
"Ohh... where were you all this time girll!!! I've missed you! Kate never took me shopping, like ever!"
"That's cuz you have sworn to embarrass me, every single time we go to the mall."
"I have not!!!"
"No... I am not gonna go shopping with you."
"Okay, no going to mall... we can still shop online," Becca said pulling her laptop towards us.
"Noo... let's go out!!! It'd be fun... I promise not to embarrass you. Pleaseeeeee!!!!"
"Drake..."
"Pretty, pretty, prettiest pleaseee!!"
"Drake..."
"Nooo... I wanna goo!! Doug doesn't take me shopping either and Josh is busy with you... I wanna goo!!!!"
"Will you listen to me?"
"Say yes... please say yes! I swear I'll share my food with you for an hour... please!!"
"Fine... we'll go. No staring and drooling over guys, no flirting, no whining when I don't get what you like, absolutely no stealing my food and definitely no food fight for fun at the food court."
"Heyy... I have a very hot boyfriend, why would I drool over other guys? And what's wrong with food fight??"
"Cuz that's wastage of food and you know I don't wanna sit there for the whole night and clean!"
"But-"
"No means no Drake."
"Okay," he said looking down at his hands.
"Great, c'mon let's go," Becca said pulling Drake out of her room.
I took my phone out of my pocket and opened my chat with Josh.
Kate: Joshhh... help meee!!!
Josh: wat happened? U ok?
