Hunter's POV
"I highly doubt it, Willow, who would ever want to dance with me?" I said complaining to my friends I met at finishing school. Skara spoke up, "Bruh you're not going to be alone, I mean, Willow didn't think she'd ever get a girlfriend, neither did I think Willow would except my date offer, but here we are, going to the dance together." "Heh, maybe. I'm guessing Luz and Amity are going together?" "Yup," Luz said, squeezing Amity's hand. "And don't worry, hermano, I'm sure you'll meet a cute guy. I mean, Gus found Matt!" She said snarkily. Gus elbowed her in the side, Matt read a scroll quietly, only looking up to sneak glances at Gus and blush profusely. "Thanks, hermana," I say. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to talk to mother." "Okay, cya dude!" Gus said, winked at Matt, leaving him in a flustered mess while I walked out to find my mother. I walked through the hallway, a guy crashed into me. "Whoops! Sorry, Goldie! I didn't see you there." A tallish guy around my age was standing above me, his hand out for me to grab. He had shiny emerald hair, and sparkly golden eyes, which seemed similar to Amity's, but there was a warmth to his face. I clear my throat, grab his hand and he pulls me to my feet. "Titan, I'm so sorry, I keep forgetting my glasses and my contacts, I can't believe I crashed into my sister's friend.. oh goodness, I'm so so sor-" "It's fine, honestly. I haven't seen you around before, usually I remember the faces of cuties." Was he blushing? I smile, "So, cutie, I know your sister?" "Um, yeah. You're friends with Amity?" "Oh, yeah she's dating my sister." "That's cool. I'm Edric, by the way, and you?" "Hunter. Well, if you'd excuse me, I'm going to go find my adopted mother, cya around, cutie." I say smiling with a wink.
Ed's POV
"I'm telling you, he winked at me, and he called me cute!" I said as my twin sister was painting her nails. "You told me this about 5 times already, you also described him in perfect detail." "Well, he's gorgeous, blonde hair, -that one strand that sticks out is really cute- deep eyes, like a pomegranate, his mysterious scar, also I swear, his eyelashes are so fluffy looking!" "Ed, I think you've got a crush, perhaps." "Hm, that sounds correct, maybe."
Hunter's POV
"So, you flirted with my brother?" Amity said, raising an eyebrow. "Am I not allowed to?" "No no, you're allowed, Ed would've killed for the chance to talk to 'The Golden guard'. He had a crush on you, y'know?" I blush. "Oh, oh wow. A cute guy crushed on me, and now I'm crushing on him, can I have something to drink?" Amity swished her hand and an abomination came with a glass of apple blood. I sip it. "Well, why not ask him to the dance?" Luz said, brushing a piece of Amity's lilac hair out of her face. "Yeah, I mean, Gus asked me out, it can't be that difficult to get a date if you both like each other." Matt said, leaning into Gus' shoulder. "Yeah, dude I'm sure you can do it!" "Well, then... I need to find him I guess." "Yay! Hunter won't be single!" Skara said with enthusiasm. I smile at her as I exit the room.
Ed's POV
I heard a knock on my door. "Hey cutie, can I come in?" "Wait, Goldie?" I responded, my ears and cheeks turning red. "Come in." I say, opening the door. That's when I see him smiling at me. "What brings you to my room?" "Oh, I dunno, Amity gave me directions." He says, twirling a piece of my hair, and tucking it behind my ear. I put my hand on his hip. "Oh, and you wanted to see little ol' me?" He whispers in my ear, giving me shivers up my spine. "Well, I think you're kinda cute so yeah." "Hm, I think you're pretty cute yourself." I whisper back. "Can I kiss you?" "Depends, are you any good, Goldie?" "Pretty decent I'd say." "Then do it, coward." And he does. The first kiss was messy but it had passion. After breaking from the kiss, I hugged his hips. "You're not too bad." "Neither are you." "May I take you to the dance?" "Sure," I giggle. "But I'm not very great at dancing." "I'll catch you if you fall." "Deal."
