As we all know, magic has been a part of our life. The moment we are born until our death, magic will always be there. People have been using it in various ways. It could help them, harm them, and even open a new world for them.

There is a lot of research regarding magic. The very famous articles would be "What is magic?" and "Why does magic exist in the world?". We, who were born after several hundreds or maybe thousands generations from the past, found it hard to find the answer to those 2 questions.

We accept the existence of magic since no one is capable of answering the famous questions. It doesn't mean we can't develop new magic. In fact, there is a place where you can register original magic and be rewarded if it's useful for the people. You can also put restrictions on who can use your magic the moment it was patented.

That place is located at the Northern Coast of the Foreis Empire which is called Rule of Magic. That is the place where I'm located at the moment.

Since I was a child, I've been fascinated with magic. I wasn't gifted like what people thought. In fact, my aptitude with magic is only with the fire since I got the blessing of the Crimson Dragon, Farkas. But, I wasn't satisfied with just fire magic. Instead, I pursued various kinds of magic.

I was born as a noble but I hate being tied down in my house. But since I was born as a noble, I have easy access to books regarding magic. After learning about 'being a noble', I spent most of my time in the library. I often sneaked out to cast magic too.

Water, wind, earth, light, dark, and even ice magic, every single thing is beautiful. I started to learn about short chants and instant chanting. It was hard since I only got enough mana to cast 3-5 magic per day.

I refused all the marriage offers that came my way until my coming of age ceremony. I hate the lecherous eyes of those men, especially the one who is definitely way over 30 years old. So, a day after my coming of age ceremony, I cut ties with my family and entered a magic academy.

There, I began a new beginning for me. Some subjects indeed felt boring since I learned the basics already. The academy covers almost all kinds of magic lessons. From mana control to summoning magic, golem making to magic enchantment.

At the end of my academy life, without realizing it, I've become the top student who graduates with near perfect scores in all subjects. Some jealousy definitely occurred. Calling me a genius even though they don't know how hard I was studying magic, keeping note of every subject.

3 years have passed for my academy life. Now, I began a new journey. Pursuing even more advanced magic, traveling from one place to another in order to learn something new, visiting various academies, until I came across this place, Rule of Magic.

With the research I'm currently tackling, 'Gathering Magic in Our Surrounding To Store It For Later', I came to this place to propose it. They questioned it when I proposed it. Saying something like "Wasn't there something like a Magic Ring, which works the same way as your proposal?", or something like, "What makes your research different from the previous one?".

To answer those questions, first, what I want is to automatically gather the mana in the surrounding, not by transferring our own mana. Second, to not repeat the failure of the previous research. They accepted my first answer but since I couldn't prove the second one at that moment, I was given a warning and they told me to look up the 'failed' research.

The research always ended up with explosions.

I tried various tricks like using a medium to store the mana, putting it on the ground, putting it underwater which doesn't work, removing things from the magic circle. It still failed.
